The pair adjacent to washford heath yard, only just taken down for HS2, worked as a pair and counted as a single gasometer. [largest in uk I was once told when I was standing on the top!] Paul.

Thanks for all the info, glad the van is still alive. Will be asking Steve at Railtec if he could produce the number panel for me. looks like there will be some modelling done in the near future. Thanks again. Paul.

Hi, Thanks for that. Is it a 16'6 or 17'6 length underframe? thanks in advance. paul.

I remember that van, it moved all around the station at times. I wonder what happened to it. Does anyone know of a 4mm model that could be used as a base model? I would love to model it and have it sat at the end of a siding. Thanks Paul.

I would recommend the the west hill wagon works couplings, a 2 minute replacement that saves trying to use the supplied couplers. As an aside keep an eye on the window wipers had one fall off and it was my son who spotted on the layout, I would never have found it! The light bar in the driving car is the same as the ones in the extra coaches but the capacitor is hidden behind the cab, I've taken mine out so there are spares available!

Had mine running today, must be lucky as there are no issues to report. Have a 5 car set, two coaches and second NDM. Ran in the 2 NDMs and fitted chips, they are perfectly matched and followed each other a few inches apart at various speeds. Have trialled fitting of gangway bellows but need to get in to the driving cars to fit driving crews. Will probably replace panto' in due course. But I am impressed overall.

Hi folks, don't know much about about model steamers but my son likes the look of the prairie, simple question, is it worth buying as a general layout loco?
