  1. They look really smart, well done. Do you have a layout for them to run on or details of locos etc?
  2. And 22 years before that, "Just a moment. Just a moment. I've just picked up a fault in the AE-35 unit. It's going to go 100% failure in 72 hours." Fetching hat and coat, making sharp exit.
  3. Thanks Neil, Possible renumbering for my next SLW 24. Regards Paul.
  4. Did it, or any others, get TOPS numbers with the arrows in this position? Paul.
  5. Hi I've searched trough my bits box, don't have tanks but have a new set of yellow pluoghs if you still need them. Paul.
  6. Just googled it, the hotel was called the Olympic and I had forgotten that he and one of his guests [Clive Russell] were Falkland Island veterans. Soon funny clips on you tube.
  7. Thanks for that, seem to remember it was quite funny.
  8. I have vague memories of a sitcom set in an hotel in Brum. Was bought by a bloke who thought the Commonwealth games were going to the city but went to Manchester instead and he was stuck with the clieantele. [ I think]
  9. What's Through the oblong window? a Class 50 at Polmadie 1976 just before transfer south.
  10. Finally got a photo of '141 on the very embryonic layout. Regards Paul.
  11. Class 24, 24 141 at rest then earning its keep before withdrawl in a few months. On my under construction layout.
  12. That 's why I found it easier to use blue T-cut, the first one I did I used white and as you say, what a pain to completely remove. The blue is almost the same as BR blue.
  13. I used blue T Cut on this weathered Hornby 31to take back the weathered finish.
  14. Thanks for that Mr Johnster, the ride in the MK1's was pretty lively at times as well!
  15. Hi all, Has anyone out there have any details of the speeds the 25s used to run at on the service? Used this service many times and they always seemed to be running hard and fast, especially on the run from Hereford northwards towards Church Stretton. Any pictures would also be a worthy addition. Thanks Paul,
  16. Toton 1977 Used it before but one of my favourite pics.
  17. After a long time with no posts but lots of modelling, there is a new layout in the offing, first pics of layout and Bachmann class 24. Its a split level station approach somewhere in the midlands on the west coast mainline in 1976. The lower OHLE level rises to meet the suburban line as they approach the out of site station.

  20. Here's my 56 001, Need more BR Blue all round, especially 56's .NRM/Hornby are missing a trick with 31 019 as well I think.
  21. Thanks to the Boys at Barwell I received a detail pack for the model I mentioned earlier, got it finished now. Thanks chaps.
  22. Hi all, A few pages ago I enquired if there were any spare white air that were not going to be used by anyone. Bachmann kindly sent me a set but they were for the original 24, many thanks to them for there prompt service. So may I ask again if there are any spare pipes out there to purchase to finish my 24 141. Many thanks Paul.
