  1. Ohhhh shiny brass 08...nice
  2. Don't bother with pre cut fep sheets you have to trim them anyway!...I ordered some for my mono x from anycubic when they arrived they are twice the size of vat so I get two out of every sheet...
  3. Just needs a splash and dash on blueish TMD!
  4. Even as spring is nearly hear a warm printer and walm resin is a must Pre warm your resin in bottle couple of good shakes as it's more fluid easier to mix. Fix a reptile heater to inside of uv hood of printer.. My mono x has 3 so I can disconnect to get different heat settings I use to get loads of failures now failures down to my stupidity with supports...or stl file pants Go for 2 stage wash! Ist dunk in ipa give a good wash then into 2nd ipa bath in a separate tub or a dedicated wash and cure allow to dry then blast it with air to remove any last ipa Then cure! Don't cook your model a few mins on each side should be sufficient Don't let your 2nd wash station ipa get too contaminated with resin....decant and recycle. check out yt to find the 101 ways. I save up 10lts of dirty resin ipa in a big adblue tub and clean it using the distiller method losses are about ⅓ to ¼ of ipa but other ways you lose ipa too just a fact of life the ipa is a consumable that needs replacing/toppling up. Make your own mind up on ipa cleaning some methods are easier than others Failures are part of home 3d printing.....you learn by failure and success
  5. Cults 3d and my mini factory have several 00 scale british wagons to purchase stl files
  6. How about during slicing the under floor equipment boxes pre slicing hollow out to may be 2mm and add the lattice work corse but thin then large drain hole then after printing fill with buck shot or similar ? Every little bit of artificial gravity helps and can't get any lower than the contactor box!
  7. Yep spot on....mm into ft into 3mm scale bingo...tar
  8. Your a star... I did look there but only saw the outline drawing.....should of gone to specksavers! Time to get calipers out to see if my pca is undernourished... G
  9. Yep a very self opinionated chap...
  10. Hi Phil you got a mention on YouTube...8m30s to be fair don't normally give this reviewer the views as normally a bit of a arse! He done a roast of Bachmann and got very personal and was nasty...but you have got of lightly 😃 https://youtu.be/_w5rG8_Ix20?si=d_T6RO3_Hmoc28WM
  11. Has any one got a drawing of the depressed center v tank PCA Need one with dimensions I have one that is just line drawing but also need a end elevation. Many thanks
  12. I will try ...but don't think it will print on its own....but may be able to print like Parkside underframe to glue up🧐
  13. Pca depressed center tank. Cement and dry goods. STL off my mini factory think it was about 13quid WB measures up 2.5mm too long I did rescale but made tank look stumpy end pipe work to tank top removed at slicing process detail looks better added later as printed merged with body and looked like 1970 Hornby handrails Obtained the stl file a few years ago got the body to print fine but the chassis never printed correctly. I revisited the stl file and come up with a brain wave merge body (that is substantial) to underframe ....it lives ! On 3rd test print just about there gust one or two supports to replace as clash with detail The printed irons and spring detail are too thin for brass bearing so two options worsley works inside w irons or a 3d printed set...
  14. i can emulsion walls ....but my models go to my brother for spraying when he is on nights..... for the quiet zone 0100hrs to about 0300hrs if he is lucky otherwise it will look like its painted with dulux soft sheen with a 3inch brush
  15. No probs Phil....Will it be dry by Easter?
  16. Phil may be something like this for headcode on your 37....I have never used the items but the reputation of railtec speaks volumes G
  17. as peter kay said....bit of blue for the dads!!!!
  18. One for next time dcc concepts do a stainless steel hand rail bending jig. Possibly feed wire through and twist ends under neath then file the front flat sounds like it would give the desired effect Several suppliers but one hear just to show jig picture https://www.jacksonsmodels.co.uk/dcc-concepts-dcgsr4-stainless-steel-scale-ruler-and-handrail-jig.ir?gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwncWvBhD_ARIsAEb2HW8JV93HLyhKN1j3jPIa_WDPnXCXKnF1E7LN5UUaVxTbhzahNGL_LnYaAvN8EALw_wcB
  19. Would consideration be given for re scale and supply the range to 3mm scale 1:101?
  20. Could brace it with plastic card 🤔 😁😁
  21. Are these to be made printed or available as STL file for rescaling and home print?
  22. So just a thought....will my pickups be fixed under the lifetime warranty?
  23. Thanks for answers above...I always give a good shake after leaving the bottle in warm water. Just didn't want to blunder through and have the clean up after failed prints G
