As I read it, when using a DC controller you turn it up to max and use the HM7000 to actually drive the loco. It's not clear if the loco can be "driven" by a DC controller alone.

My reading of it is that it cannot be driven by the DC controller alone, but then again one must presume that if you’ve gone to the trouble of getting and fitting the Bluetooth decoder that you wouldn’t particularly want to

Will be interesting to see which liveries they settle on. The list which came out prematurely in Hornby Mag had two green versions, East Anglian pre-war LNER and City of London post-war BR. As the latter would be wrong - it remained black - they might want to think about swapping them over, then they could be apple green in LNER and BR guise.  I’d prefer a black one myself, ugly as it was it certainly looked different.

the switch already appears to have been made according to Kernow’s website - East Anglian is now the BR condition loco

Don't quote me on this, but I think this might be an earlyish scheme from around 1924 or 1925? One that has LNER lettering and numbering, but might still be in GCR house colours otherwise?

afraid not, that is this model

I've used Evri for the first time this weekend to send a parcel. 3 x X04 motor refurbs and the customer did not want to risk RM with al the strikes etc. Lets see how they perform.

On a related matter I posted a Hornby Britannia on the 29th November, specifically to avoid the strikes that were going on at the end of the previous week. It arrived thankfully on the 13th December, the day the buyer started a claim on eBay for non-delivery.

We had a delivery of letters yesterday (Sunday) I hope RM are not paying striking workers overtime to catch up on their missed deliveries ......

sincerely hope that all goes well with the delivery. However as EVRI is essentially a re-branded Hermes service my personal experience is that even a striking Royal Mail delivery service is better in every way.

had no choice but to order something via eBay GSP about two months ago. American postal services got the parcel to the UK in four days. It has been at the EVRI distribution office ever since.

I'm sure I've seen a layout based on the PQR Mainline but cannot remember it's name or who built it sadly.

Think it was at one of the GCR Model Events before Covid. I can't remember exactly which one unfortunately.

I know that Kathy Millat is doing one

    Anyone had theirs returned yet?

Mine was sent back a month ago - no response or sign of anything!!

    Al.

the timeframe given at time of return was 8-10 weeks and by my reckoning we are about five weeks out from the day of the recall announcement.

That timeframe was also a ‘best estimate’ at the time, there are potential for more delays which couldn’t be foreseen.

I couldn't work out if the email was saying that all pre-ordered Scotsman sets will be dispatched to customers soon, or (more likely) that they've got a batch early, which means people who pre-ordered very early will get theirs now, but those who pre-ordered later will have to wait for January.

Since I've asked Father Christmas for mine, I don't know when "he" placed the pre-order... 😬

I read it as saying that they have some stock unexpectedly early and will dispatch to those who ordered earliest first.
