  1. God , here we go again . Now what do I think that Bachman can make that'll actually sell ? Well Scotland is popular - more 37s/47s . People lap up this stuff . Joining in with the fantasists - personally I don't want every DRS engine . I'll have everything based at old oak from 1980 - 1985 , and everything that was ever owned by EWS . I'll have to delay getting the Porsche
  2. Never knew BM had long range stuff before the A330.
  3. Great work. I'm looking for a good ews colour match for Bachmann maroon so I may give those a go if they do Class 37 stuff. Funny what you say about things coming around.....in 2001 I brought railmatch loadhaul paints to respray a Lima 60. Never happened.....and the paint went off....and now again I'm looking at buying loadhaul colours to do a 37. 16 years ! Maybe I need a break from modelling this period !
  4. Looking good ! Used to drive through there in my way from my parents back home to where I lived in daventry Always amazed me there was such a big railway network around there
  5. Ah , ok , thanks simon . I guess nothing a bit of plastic won't fix but I'd probably just overlook it as I'm not too fussy
  6. Ok confused now. I know the nose is too late for early split boxes on mine - it's Dutch with transrail. But that was an example, I was thinking roof as you mentioned roof... Cos I looked at a photo of 37012 and the nose was split box with doors like 114, so what stops you doing 012 , say, from the limited edition ?
  7. I've got a 37043 from a 37035 in Dutch , what's the issue ?
  8. Well after a 47 fell off my A4 workbench I got really annoyed and built this shelf onto the layout front . Finally have a workbench ! Overjoyed
  9. I found a picture in the tech log recently and it said " god made engineers so pilots could have heroes too..." Rather liked that !
  10. Wow, that's probably the best ballast and track combo I've ever seen on a model ! Superb .
  11. I'm sorry, I couldn't resist it for the airbus boys.....
  12. Moscow , 2013, engineer has his work cut out here I think
  13. Interesting .i think BA have just binned this route with their A318. If this thing can take 40 to JFK what sort of wedge would they have to pay to make it profitable I wonder ?
  14. Ok, you can't call me Susan. I don't model Scotland , but that is sure to be a good choice.good job.
  15. Shame I always liked these vans, broke up the monotony of block trains
  16. That's interesting, because if you read a certain pro 25 site they make out that drivers loved them and treated their replacement 31s like something they had stepped in ..... However that may be an enthusiasts bias I guess. It's always best to hear it from the sharp end. IIRC 60s were, and still are, very well liked for comfort.
  17. Ah, yes, just seen that. funny looking VGA seems to have lateral side bars., makes it look continental. Shame these aren't running from didcot with all the 37s they used to have - so many celebrities !
  18. For the first one, the loco came from tonbridge i saw on Flickr ! GB have no facilities anywhere near Bicester I'm aware of , so must be lot of light engine. Really doesn't make sense with didcot so close.
  19. Had exactly the same issue with mine - soloution was as ken describes.
  20. That's a long way ! Thought glen douglas was an arms dump, so I'm surprised it came from Bicester not kineton
  21. Nice duffs ! What BR blue do you use or is that the original Heljan ? 47299 was the doomed engine as I remember
  22. Good question . Is there any GB flows from south to north that could tag it on the back ?
  23. Back scene wise I used 3m spray mount for the photo id . I used pritt stick for the paper ones which seem ideal
  24. Interesting, but I'd be surprised if DB had much involvement from now on. All the original locations are now in RTT as GBRF locations. I notice the addition of a Bicester - donnington train. As I understand it much of Bicester function is moving there. I've seen on Flickr the slight madness of a 66 going light from tonbridge to Bicester to operate. That's why I thought DB would retain this stuff as they are probably still the best geographical spread.
