  1. I seem to remember the model of 18 also had one of the nameplaes in the wrong position.
  2. All those boxes!! I think you have all the ones Hornby did, except Lion. B)
  3. Sorry Larry, I don't have the ones of D421.
  4. They're your photos Larry. I only had them saved from the old Class 50 forum. You said you'd lost/deleted them by mistake, so I thought you might like to see them again So you've got 16 Vacs. Hmm, I think you might have more then me. I think I had 15 or so the last time I counted
  5. Sorry for the delay. I've been playing golf in Ireland
  6. looking forward to the Heljan Lion. it should be out soon :)

  7. I may have some of them saved. I'll have a look sometime over the weekend.
  8. I've seen you posting on here for quite some time, yet it only dawned on me yesterday that you used to be on that other forum too. It's a small world! Thanks, that pic of my D400 is one of my favorite ones. To me it just looks so real. Correct it is a repaint as Hornby haven't done that one, as I'm sure you know. 46 was a good one, yes. In the words of Shaggy: it wasn't me.
  9. Gillinghamgus, I remember you (I recognize your photos) from the old Yahoo (was it Yahoo? ) model Class 50 website (now defunct ). That's going back perhaps 3 or 4 years now, maybe even more. Remember the discussion about the diffrent shape crests/plaques on 50031 Why did the Class 50 website get taken down? Come to think of it, wasn't Ian Ark Royal on there too?
  10. wish I'd never found the diffrence between cast and fabricated Class 37 bogies - my model has the wrong ones on it!

ah.. That one, 37 190' / 37 314 got cast ones under it, when we did a traction motor change, the motors had Deltic number painted on. Pics here http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php/gallery/image/15844-img-7301jpg/

Don't forget there's two types of cast bogies!

  11. am I going to get some modelling done this evening, or am I just going to sit here and think about it?

  12. is keeping up his new years resolution so far (which was "don't buy any locos unless they're absolutly neccesary to my collection")

      NGT6 1315

I'd say "absolutely necessary" is, in fact, very much open to interpretation! :-D

  13. oh well. that decides it: not funny then :/

  14. new years eve makes me sad. but HAPPY NEW YEAR to all anyway!!

  17. My goodness, there's allot of you early risers out there I'm not usually up at this hour
  18. Well, the ol' Heljan ones are prototypical then (In all fairness, I must add that Howes - that is Heljan's UK dealer - sorted out my affected Heljan 47 very effectivly, unlike another manufactor.... So top marks to Howes/Heljan for that).
  19. ho ho ho. it's time to open the Jameson and get out a cigar (and turn the internet off). merry xmas!!
