  1. Time for a clue: Not in the North, South, East or West!
  2. Allington & Gonerby junctions between Grantham and Bottesford Will post another junction anon
  3. Back to the junctions theme: Hopefully this one can be found from a Rail Atlas without too much trawling of OS maps?
  4. Phew Graham That took some finding!! Anyway it's Castle Donington: Will post a new square tomorrow - time to think of a new theme. Mike
  5. Clue My last one was on a "racing stretch" - this one isn't but has connections to racing.
  6. Continuing the Pylon line theme:
  7. Just north of Hambleton on the Selby - Leeds line: Will have a think about the next one (found some interesting squares whilst looking for this one) Mike
  8. Correct - chosen as it was the point at which Royal Scots Grey first achieved 100mph en route to Dundee
  9. I didn't - that's for you to work out! If it helps, that was the last time I travelled by train. Mike
  10. A systematic search for a railway line close to a pylon line - they stand out while panning the map. Anyway here is the next one: No clue for now except that I travelled this section of line last December.
  11. We're South West of Stratfield Mortimer, between Reading and Basingstoke: Will have a think about the next one........ Mike
  12. Hi martin Did you know this one or was the partial road number too much of a clue? Mike
  13. Continuing the disused line & gravel pits theme The part road number may be a clue?
  14. Just west of Sand Hutton I cheated and googled "Gravel Pit Farm"! Off to the Club tonight, so will post the next one later.
  15. It's between Helmdon and Sulgrave on the former GC line: Here's the next one: Hopefully this one should be easy - the clue is in the square! Mike
  16. Time for a clue methinks: Between a natural tourist attraction and a man-made one, on my 1979 OS map this square is devoid of ALL features except the path and track at top left. That map shows a (dead-end) branchline which serves no purpose (except of course it served this site!)
  17. Hi Graham It's Cardiff - Waun-gron Park and Fairwater stations: Mike
  18. Another clue: This line always faced an uphill struggle to move goods to the coast, now it serves to empower the nation.
  19. Clue: Strictly speaking, the County Boundary was't before 1 April 1974 - that might help to locate the area?
  20. Next Square: No clues just yet!
  21. It's Herston on the Swanage Railway Have just worked out how to import the "squares" - will post the next one later today. Mike
  22. Hi Dave Have followed this thread with interest and the latest photos were worth waiting for! I'm currently looking to refurbish my DJH S15 (built about 25 years ago) and particularly to replace the old open frame motor with a Mashima can. I can see in the thread which motor you've used but what is the ratio of the gearbox? Regards Mike
