    Completely screwed by SWR "COVID" timetable change - can't get to / from work now - these tw*ts can't provide a service worth squat and it's costs me £8.5K a year - SWR - you are useless quite simply that - USELESS !!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND you can stick your insulting Delay Repay refunds where the sun don't shine.

    Has just been through the kit / scratchbuilt-built wagon boxes and scrapped anything that I now have better models of as RTR. Wheels, bearings and buffers recovered where possible. Couldn't bring myself to get rid of the 20 MDV's though.

    Has today replaced BOTH broken (not folding anymore) wing mirrors on my CX-5 and is feeling pretty pleased with himself. (£150 each and no labour 😁). Had to sacrifice the Construction liveried Class 56 for the funds though 😥).

    is currently in 1L73 being pilotman worked over the UF in the down direction between Woking & Farnborough - a proper piece of old-fashion railway practice on the modern railway - Lovely !!! All the years I looked after the Emergency X-over at Farnborough and never travelled through it until right now - new track !!!!

      So are you stationed at one end of the Up Fast, effectively sending each train over the Single Line or is the UF being used in a two-way mode?

       

      I don't know the layout round there, but if there is an Up Fast, presumably there is also an Up Slow?

      US - Up

      UF - Down

      DF & DS - LB/T3 for cutting works @ Farnboro

    Just got a blue Hymek 50% off at TMC - NOW I cCAN afford a Class 89 😁

      Before you bought the Blue Hymek you could afford the Class 89, now after buying it, you can still afford it - nothing actually changed.

       

      Except you now have a Hymek, so really it was the Hymek you were concerned you could not afford. 🙂

    Seasons greetings to all those on here who will be working over the festive period. I'm rostered every day except the 27th right up until Jan 2nd - Leave cover at Xmas again this year 🙄

    That satisfying change of note whilst running-in a new loco that is something freeing up and it running like a sewing machine afterwards.

    Weird day - well yesterday actually cos it's just past Midnight. am the only passenger on 1L73 heading towards Yeovil Junction. Found out I haven't got a hideous disease 🙏 & that we are to strike on the DLR next month. 🤦‍♂️
