  1. Hi John ks Yes, I read it correctly then, as you explained it clear here from part of your POST... being (2 Sets of...) 6-Half-Sets either side of the 'Two N-DM' followed by the 6-Half-Sets 6+2+6 = 14-Car Set. Hi John, I'm taking it 370 002 must have had Yellow Ends ... and I agree with regards to 370 004 nowhere to be seen with Black Ends... either on that one... Yes, this one made my laugh and your right... which one will Hornby Produce... the Hornby 80's on the Black Framed Surrounds was Solid Black 'InterCity' while the 'Double Arrows' and 'APT' were Outlined Yellow in Black... ><InterCityAPT / ><InterCityAPT / ><InterCityAPT / ><InterCityAPT I preferred the the APT when it was in RED personally, or certainly with the Wording than without, and now you mention it, were these time fads the APT went through in its short period of Life Time...? I would be interested to know when...? or on which 370 numbers....? was each of these types used on the APT-P. Thanks John ks for all the info.... Regards Jamie
  2. HI Leon... Not been on for a while and have only just returned, you have moved on hugely loving all your new wagons etc, and Howes Sound, still one my personal favorites next to Zimo and Legomanbiffo... to be fitted in one of the best BR Liveries. Regards Jamie
  3. Hi Kev There's a guy over in the Berkenhead MRC Model Club My nearest that I go to to North Wales (Long Drive 1.30hrs for 2/3 hours when I do go...!) when ever I go over named, Kieth who make his own Pylons and they look fantastic... See Neil aka saxokid on RMWeb Neil is great mate or look under 'Banks Road' Club Layout, you should see couple of Pylons on Bank Road that Keith as made in his spare time. I thought I had a photo of it... but I'll keep looking for it. Regards Jamie
  4. Hi Again Few more of the Sub Station on the A55 just after Llandudno Junction. Down into the Sub Station, (Sorry I was up loading a different Sub Station) and it didn't fit in with were the Pylon was lol, Right, Now... back on track... I have the right Sub Station although it was being worked on so few signs everywhere say to keep out... which I did...! but meant having to zoom in more to cancel out the fencing being in view of the extra fencing and focusing on the Subject rather than the focusing on the fence every time... but managed to get what I could, in the end. i think the Close-Ups came out good for those wanting more attention to detail... Regards Jamie
  5. Hi Paul Sorry bud, they weren't in the Pylon Folder....Doh! Found them... This the Pylon on the A55 as Paul rightfully said, Unusually with it having the Extra Arm on a 3rd Side of the 4 Sides... Regards Jamie
  6. Hi Paul Yes, you are correct, was you with me...? when I took the photo or was alone lol as if you'd know I was alone Doh...! haha Regards Jamie
  7. Hi Kev Those are quality, Is that in Both N-Gauge and 00-Gauge, Do you sell them Ready Made 00-Gauge...? Is there more than one style...? Regards Jamie
  8. Hi Samuel And off the back of your comment, how hard are those Colas Rail Class 70's to get hold off, you never seem to come across them now and everyone seems to have sold out on them, they are like 'Hens Teeth' now to get hold off, without paying way over the odds for one. Lets hope Bachmann re-release one with a different running number hey! Regards Jamie
  9. The Top Pylon is one of those oddly shaded I was referring to, and look pretty good more so on a Model Layout as Its not really one you see in the main stream, apart from at Sub Stations maybe. Regards Jamie
  10. Hi Jamiel I notice the Top Photo above as the 6-Car Units that John ks must have been referring to earlier the thread when he said QUOTE "According to Wikipedia there were 6 half sets, 6 N-DMs & as spares 1 DTS & 1 TBF numbered 48107 & 48607" I wonder if looking at this photo above is what makes up One of the "6 half sets"...? Ranging from the DTS with Full Yellow Fronted Ends to the 6th Coach being the N-DM Power Coach...!?! Then connected to the RTC (Blue&Red) Coach that is connected to the Prototype HST on the very End as its main power source. Great Photos... Regards Jamie
  11. Hi Jamiel Those are suburb photos of the class 37101 to enable to mimic on your Layout and as it's the 5-Car Set, so even the old Hornby 80's 5-Car Set can be replicated with the only having to adapt and enable it to connect to the Class 37 in some way. I just hope Hornby think's about the APT-P Nose Cone on the Hornby 2020 APT-P to enable it to connect using some NEM socket under the Nose Cone of the APT-P... Great Photos Jamiel Regards Jamie
  12. Hi BernardTPM Ah... so that 'Exectutive' InterCity came out before 'Swallow' INTERCITY livery and was some overlap then but was on the HST in 1983... That's interesting to note. and 1987 the APT-P had already been scrapped by then...! Regards Jamie
  13. Hi great northern The last photo look nice, I love those type of photos that you try to put the camera in a awkward position, just to get a great photo, and I think that is one of those type of photos, and because it also takes them from a Man's/Woman's Eye prospective with it being lower down to, makes it gives it that more of a real look to the photo. Regards Jamie
  14. Wow Pylon King Do you have FULL ACCESS in to these places, all of mine are taken from normally having to Zooooom in on these places. I have a few oddly shaped Pylons to, most are taken as the Pylons are entering some kind Station or Sub Station of some kind. Great Photo's PK. Regards Jamie
  15. Questions for someone here... The TU Coach (Trailer Unclassified), I know that First Class had the Blue Tartan seating patterns, while the Second Class had the Red Tartan seating patterns on the chairs, but what colour were the TU (Trailer Unclassified) Chairs...? I take it they were one of the two colours but does anyone know which...? I'm Interested in what there were in...? Regards Jamie
  16. That's Funny Jamiel, I have just ordered some Old Spotting Books from 1978 to 1984 to see what they say was running at the time, and give me any extra information that may be helpful from back in those times. I'd be interested to see more Photo's if you have any on more Odd Formations while on Test at the Time. Regards Jamie
  17. Hi Jamiel The Information is great Jamiel as it's a tad outside of my memory / Era, so those type of photos are a great bonus for me or those who are certainly younger than me to Model and Run those possibilities on a Layouts. As I'm sure all the Information is great to have in a Central Knowledge Base to use as Reference Material. Regards Jamie
  18. Hi BernaerdTPM Yes... I noticed it looked more of a FO than a SO, as the SO have 8 bays don't they...? and Your Interesting Reference Material is great from your Link. Regards Jamie
  19. Hi Jamiel Top image by Phil Sangwell and bottom John Woolley. That is a great reference material to look back on, I think that is a formation I can Run on a Layout... or nearly... Image by Colin Marsden QUOTE "Info by Colin Marsden Test Service Car No9 RDB975631 was converted from SO No3009 and was used as a surrogate APT power car for testing trailer rakes. It was scrapped - BR, East Usk in September 1987" Do we know if Bachmann via LTD ED or Model Zone as ever released this RTC Coach above...? Regards Jamie
  20. Hi Legend I only say the InterCity Swallow and yes Unique Livery (I should have added that in....oops) as I remember the Class 89001 moving over from the InterCity Livery to the InterCity Swallow Livery but like you say I had a feeling it was much later. In my head, I only ever remember the very early 80's on wards, I cant say I remember any of the 70's as I would have only been 7 years old. I tend to remember the 80's better or clearer I should say and If I do remember any of the 70's it tends to blend in with the 80's or was earlier than I thought, from my days with my Dad and Bro Strain Spotting in those early good old days lol Regards Jamie
  21. Hi Legend Yes, that's what I was thinking but I wasn't sure if it was All of them and all in the InterCity Livery or just the First Few before going over to the Black Surround Windows, and would the Black Surround Windows have happen when the InterCity Swallow Livery came in to play then...? or is the InterCity Swallow sometime much later...? Regards Jamie
  22. Hi Dave The 47642 as one of my favourite liveries more so with the 'ScotRail' and 'Stang' / 'Scottie Dog'... Really nice photo that mate. Regards Jamie
  23. Hi Dave Very Nice as always at capturing that moment in time, and Your Photo's always have that quality to them. We can all relate to the Guy hanging out the window looking at the Class 27052... we have all been there lol Hope all is well my friend and family all keeping well to bud. Regards Jamie
  24. Hi tractor_37260 Interesting to note, so is DOT3 and DOT4 a specific brand to be using or some kind of Strength Notification on the tin as it were....! as I'm not mechanically minded when what to use on any Car, I'm just a taxi driver for family lol and I only keep it in because someones recommendation for Modelling Technics, but wasn't specific in which Make / Brand was best. So I just when and bought the cheapest Brake Fluid, I go and have a look in my shed tomorrow just to see what type I did buy and see if I can read DOT3 or DOT4 and Precision Supa Strip as you say, Is that another Car Related Product too...? and the best place to buy it from....? It's worth knowing...! Cheers for that tractor_37260 aka HTH Regards Jamie
  25. Yes, we all can have counselling for that weekend or each do our own sketch of stand up [of our own interpretations] (as you rightfully put it Paul...lol) and each one of us would be for very different reasons... as uncomfortable as a fart in AA Van oops Space Suit... lol I do still look up to the skies above and think of that weekend with a smile and I look back with fond memories haha... is how I remember it. Yes, I had forgotten that your journey had only just began when we dropped you off, some 9 hours in... lol Jamie
