  1. The workbench is clear!!!!! Bit of a different story with the dining table, though - can't find that.

      Fed the bin, but the dining table is still full! The rest of the house lacks storage room as well. It's the books that are taking up the room.

      Our house also lacks storage, seems to be full of canoeing kit at the moment (walking, biking, and climbing kit in the loft). Seriously cut down on train stuff this year (Ebay is also a friend) but there's still a kit mountain.

      Approximate sequence 35mins - 2hr 10min 4hr 30min - 2hr 50min - 1hr - 2hr 40min - 1hr - 30 min - 27min - 50min - 20min then it went doen on time. Who invented the algorithm? Why is always out?

      Dogs chewed our digital set-top box remote, but you can't buy them as a spare. So I had to buy a new set-top box. Even so, only cost $40

  12. Just excavated (right word) the car after summer hols with dogs to beach - vacuum cleaner full of sand and dog fur.

      Not a chance - in for the meeting (where I took the dogs for a walk) back to Exeter, lunch on the quay then home - a good 14 hours in all.

  18. Fireworks have just started up again (10:45pm) - and we're in a market town of 2000 people, not a conurbation. Just proved that despite the recession some people do have money to burn.

      Police have just arrested two youths. One had been drinking battery acid, the other had eaten a firework. The first was charged, but the second was let off.

  22. kitchen rebuild come to a halt when new (deeper) sink needs to have water flowing uphill to get to waste pipe - so have to remove dishwasher + cooker + cupboard to reroute. All because water won't flow uphill.

  25. has spent the last three hours looking for the roll of aluminium oxide grit paper I know I have. Haven't found it but rediscovered a whole treasure trove of tools I'd forgotten about.
