  1. Leave him alone, he's good entertainment value, this thread would be half as big if it wasn't for him.
  2. Yes, the drawing states cab, not cabside.
  3. These accord with the official North British drawing which confirms them to be cab and engine plates.
  4. Looks like our "friend" has American competition! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PETER-DENNYS-BUCKINGHAM-BRANCH-LINES-BOOK-1-2-/130429501614?pt=Model_RR_Trains&hash=item1e5e3440ae
  5. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/TRIANG-Hornby-R339-BR-2nd-CLASS-SLEEPING-CAR-COACH-MIB-/370316657583?pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item563897c3af I'll give this bloke his due, he's good entertainment value. Presumably delivery is in a Rolls Royce.
  6. So it won't be an accurate representation then?
  7. New: A brand-new, unused, unopened and undamaged item. See the seller's listing for full details. How the hell can it be unopened, or has he got 2, one for the picture, one to sell?
  8. People are bidding on it!!!!!!!!!!!! Now that is madness.
  9. Maybe not madness, but it pays not to rely on the box? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220654231471&ssPageName=ADME:B:SS:GB:1123
  10. Yet again, "brand new in box" ???????????
  11. Shawplan also do an etch of hinges, handles and suchlike.
  12. Nice work. Re the chain. P & H models. 07960 941010 philstrains2005@aol.com
  13. HI jon. Yup, that's got the footbridge cock on. Coal lorry looks impressive too. Mike.
  14. Re the footbridge. I think it needs a support at the signal box end, don't think it would be trusted to hold itself up on the riveted angle joint at the top of the step section, something coming up off the wall maybe? Is that where the umming and arring is coming from? Looks well though, congratulations.
  15. Put it under a Judith Edge Clayton? (Just off for my tin hat )
  16. Yes, far more accurate than the Heljan joke, even better with Shawplan replacement fans and grilles.
  17. If GTD only came 3rd, whatever came 1st and 2nd
  18. The Gibson are working ones, although not with an actual working screw a la Exactoscale, but because they are brass castings look chunky like the prototype. Yes, the Masokits ones are screw couplings, I use these on rolling stock, but as I previously said, look at your prototype to see which style of coupling is correct, there are many variations.
  19. The best diesel screw couplings IMHO are the Alan Gibson 4M706B. A bit of a ###### to assemble, but being cast, look the part.
  20. Remember there are differences between locomotive and stock screw couplings, check the type of construction first.
