  1. Successfully converted mine to EM the Yorkshiremans way, just moved the existing wheels out. Needs a bit trimming from the top inside of the bogie sideplate beam, but other than that, no dramas. Hauled 16 coaches of various parentage around the train set, so no problems there.
  2. Looking good. Like the detail on the bodyside access grille. Will there be a version without the "post Ealing" battery box clips
  3. Hi Dave. It seems from the cads that there is hardly any body profile curvature, looks virtually flat. Is this correct?
  4. It would seem Mr Gostude has children!
  5. Hornby. Really? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hornby-Class-50-Revenge-/300631436456?pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item45ff07aca8
  6. Excellent modelling Jon, shame it's the wrong gauge and not a hydraulic, but, not everything in this world is perfect!!! All that's required is somebody to do Kings Cross in P4, wonder who that could be???
  7. Currently in the Extreme Etchings firing line along with Laserglaze and mebbe a couple of other ideas, but don't tell anyone, shhh.
  8. EM option for everything you do please Dave.
  9. Defeatist You need to talk to Mr Anson again, or is it Ansan
  10. It will be interesting to see what price these locos are selling at on ebay tomorrow.
  11. The roof detail is TOTALLY wrong on that baby deltic.
  12. Not with the Shawplan/Houlden haranguing match in adjacent plots. Only needs that flaming Cutler bloke to turn up and then we're all finished.
  13. The best Western ever produced and one that will go round train set curves can be one and the same locomotive can't it?
  14. Memory like a wotsit me. The best bogies are the Replica ones, as I believe Geoff is now supplying, along with a few other things. Through on wednesday, I waved but you weren't looking
  15. Maybe, but at least it's got a panagraff.
  16. As the ends are a different width, maybe the best plan is to ditch the Hornby body altogether and use MJT sides and ends? and an alternative roof with vents etc done correctly. That was my thought if I can get a 4VEP complete or chassis only at the right price, well south of £100 I think.
  17. Mallard 60022 has got a spare set of these under his bullion van The Hornby ones are inside bearing so I wouldn't touch them with the proverbial. Try MJT on compensated bogie frames?
  18. There's a pre pro on his stand at exhibitions to look at.
  19. Wait for the MARC one. Cheaper and better.
  20. It seems to me the elephant in the room is the buildings, nice as they are. Try, difficult I know, to forget the buildings and design the layout to some different parameters, such as what you really want to see. I think you're having doubts about every stage of the layout and it could get a bit problematical.
  21. The OO Gauge Association do a (members only) warflat kit, not sure of it's lineage though, ISTR it was reviewed in one of the mags not too long ago.
