PAB Anglesey Coke Hopper Wagon Scratchbuild
Deltic Man replied to richard60098's topic in Kitbuilding & Scratchbuilding
Good Evening I bought some of the original models off Jonathan and this is the final wagons finished as close as we could get them by a friend. Thanks Jon, I now have eight more to make from scratch -
Good Evening everybody Its been a long time since I posted but another area of the layout starts to take shape with the arrival of a scratch built good depot from the 90's. I am unashamed to say my inspiration for the building and the eventual cement works is the fantastic layout Farkham which with the stock and buildings is a wonderful layout. So here we go it gives you some idea of this area which sits on top of the helix to hide it. Enjoy Nik

Good Evening everyone Small update, this week saw the arrival of a few bits from Peter Leyland (aka. Gravy Train). Again words cannot describe the level of detail he produces and this replica of the office block belonging to Wigan Springs Branch Depot an excellent replica. Also two walls produced which belong to the old steam shed and the back wall even with the No Parking writing on it. I just need to do the surrounding scenery to do justice to this. If anyone has any photos of this area can you pm me or please post them on this post? thanks Nik

Now for some small layout improvements I ordered some bespoke signal gantries for the layout which have arrived and after much colorful words I managed to work out how to wire them out. So here are some pics of prior and post fitting. I think they have made a great improvement. Let me know what you think Nik

Evening All Well I have started the end of year modelling again witht he laying of the track on the upper level. Note to self lay this before scenicing the main boards. Basically there will be a deadend station headshunt/loco refuelling and sidings which eventually will look abandoned but will be used Nik

Well the summer is over so I thought I better get back from the modelling holiday and start to look at the 100's of jobs that need doing on the layout. Todays job was to scenic the wagon care shed area. The shed is the Hornby one which I don't mind and basically was easy to add lights to. See what you all think (may need some suggestions for more interior clutter) Nik Enjoy.
