  1. That red, white and blue diesel that was in the sidings last week took a tank train to nearby Deggendorf port (Deggendorf is on the branch line where the little green DMUs and shunters travel). I would have thought it was always the shunters that take the freight along the branch line but not this time. http://webcam.deg.net/?a=showcam&w=showarchivimage&o=pla&id=201509101330parked on the far side https://www.flickr.com/photos/manuel_schmid/21412604605/ https://www.flickr.com/photos/manuel_schmid/21220017178/
  2. I think you're correct. I emailed Railcolor.net and they suggested the same Taurus as you did. Thanks very much.
  3. I don't recognise this livery, can anyone help please?
  4. There have been 2 Lokomotion 139's on a roll-on roll-off train at Plattling recently. You can see archived images here http://webcam.deg.net/?a=showcam&w=showarchivimage&o=pla&id=201509050715 http://webcam.deg.net/?a=showcam&w=showarchivimage&o=pla&id=201509070715 http://webcam.deg.net/?a=showcam&w=showarchivimage&o=pla&id=201509010715 A thread on dreischeiebe has clearer photos from Regensburg http://www.drehscheibe-online.de/foren/read.php?4,7538833 http://abload.de/img/139260-442567brtz.jpg Google translate seems to say the train comes from Neufahrn (near Munich) then reverses at Plattling and goes toward Regensburg. It goes on this route until the 15th of September. It is seen in Plattling about 06:15 or 07:30 (UK time!).
  5. a 189er, a Taurus and a Vectron (I think!)
  6. The new Doppler Vectron went through Plattling today! https://www.flickr.com/photos/manuel_schmid/20728604842/ https://www.flickr.com/photos/129076364@N05/20117060043/ It delivered the tankers to the sidings. You can see it on the archive Plattling images http://webcam.deg.net/?a=showcam&w=showarchivimage&o=pla&id=201508201530 and then set off with them http://webcam.deg.net/?a=showcam&w=showarchivimage&o=pla&id=201508201730 http://webcam.deg.net/?a=showcam&w=showarchivimage&o=pla&id=201508201745 Normally the archive imager misses all the good stuff, but today it was lucky. And now I know what time it is due to arrive/leave. Is this the retrack / transpetrol service from Koln to Hungary? I think it is, I found a pdf promotion somewhere and here is a useful image for the route etc There are lots of images on Flickr with other Vectrons pulling the same train https://www.flickr.com/photos/eisenbahner69/15317918927/ https://www.flickr.com/photos/vinnyers-2/16370562050 https://www.flickr.com/photos/betuweroute100/15139493203/ I should take a trip to Koln to see it!
  7. https://www.flickr.com/photos/manuel_schmid/sets/72157646536303155 the above album has lots of nice images of the little green DMUs that set off from Plattling.
  8. Not the webcam, but this person takes a lot of rail photos from around the Plattling area which may be interesting. https://www.flickr.com/photos/manuel_schmid/
  9. Thanks to all who still post on this thread. I have been watching Plattling for nearly 5 years now. It's always nice to have on as a little window on the computer and watch the trains come and leave. When it snows it's extra special Looking back through the thread, I think this is my favourite of all that I have seen at Plattling. It was just before Christmas in 2011
  10. it's snowing in Plattling! The snow that was in Wales & the Midlands yesterday got the train over to Germany and is now there There aren't (m)any trains but the lighting and the snow on the webcam looks peaceful and relaxing. Happy Christmas
  11. I don't recognise this livery or locomotive
  12. It would be interesting to know why that blue diesel's there and has stayed there today. Maybe some engineering works on the Deggendorf line maybe?
  13. I also screengrabbed that diesel this morning!
  14. there's a Cargoserve Vectron in Plattling right now! http://webcam.deg.net/?a=showcam&w=showarchivimage&o=pla&id=201404232029
  15. Where do the shunters that reside in Plattling get their fuel from? There was a tanker wago nparked next to the shunters up until June but it hasn't come back since. http://webcam.deg.net/?a=showcam&w=showarchivimage&o=pla&id=201306091015
  16. There's a 40% chance of snow tomorrow around 09:00 in Plattling apparently!
  17. This Taurus has been waiting in Plattling for the last 5 hours http://www.railcolor.net/index.php?nav=1000006&lang=1&file=siem_20859_56&action=image&position= and is still currently there!
  18. long engineers train came to Pattling recently http://webcam.deg.net/?a=showcam&w=showarchivimage&o=pla&id=201309021541 and it is still there right now
  19. here#s a proper photo of the vectrons that have been in & out of Plattling these last 2 days http://www.railcolor.net/images/basic/siem_21695_86.jpg http://www.railcolor.net/index.php?nav=1000006&file=siem_21826_56&action=image
  20. hooray, I saw another Vectron. I'd never seen one until week ago, and now I've seen 4 different ones and here is a better screengrab of yesterday's Vectrons (they have been back today as well, but never go further East than Plattling. Can't be allowed into Austria?) http://webcam.deg.net/?a=showcam&w=showarchivimage&o=pla&id=201308271626 and I found a German website forum with discussion of Plattling webcam http://www.1zu160.net/scripte/forum/forum_show.php?id=705957 so I put a message on there and linked to here
  21. a different Vectron is currently in Plattling and has been there for an hour or so http://webcam.deg.net/?a=showcam&w=showarchivimage&o=pla&id=201308271156 update: it left in a westbound direction (to the top of the webcam screen) so I couldn't get a good screengrab. It had a Vectron on both ends of the carriages it seems.
