  1. Olten webcam hasn't worked for a few days Maybe the webcam got knocked off its perch and the owner hasn't had time to put it back into position yet. I hope it is fixed soon
  2. Thanks for the information! It must have been 185666 as the one in my image does not have a red horizontal stripe across the front (which is needed to work in Italy). However 189918 does have a red horizontal stripe on the front which rules out the 189. As no other 185s are red zebras with a white background it must have been 185666. Hooray! http://www.railcolor.net/index.php?nav=1401007&lang=1&file=bomb_34687_59&action=image&position=9 http://www.railcolor.net/index.php?nav=1406404&lang=1&file=siem_21062_57&action=image&position=9
  3. woo-hoo! One of my all-time greatest Plattling screengrabs! Lokomotion is my favourite freight company and the red liveried one (185666, or are there more red zebra traxx? I know there are some red zebra 186s but they have grey backgrounds) is my favourite non-Taurus lok 8) I just got back from work and there it was coming through!
  4. Here are a few from the past few days Black 189s are quite rare in Plattling (for me at least) I've never seen an Eastbound freight use the far side before A rare liveried Taurus (for me at least)
  5. if only the webcam with the timetable down the side had a freight timetable too! Plattling should be the same 8)
  6. I didn't see it today from 14:00-15:30 uk time. If anyone sees a lokomotion train at Plattling, please could they write what time they saw it or take a screengrab please?
  7. Do you know what time it normally passes through please?
  8. Cool, I look forward to those photos 8) Also maybe Lokomotion won the contract for the cereal train from Rail4Chem? Do you know how often the cereal train runs? I hope Lokomotion will run it as I love those 'zebra' loks they have.
  9. did you take any photos of your time there? what was it like. I saw a rare Lokomotion lok in Plattling just now. I though they were only used on the Brennerbahn from Germany to Italy mostly? http://www.railcolor.net/index.php?nav=1406157&lang=1&file=bomb_34685_56&action=image&position=6
  10. 2 locomotive hauled passenger trains both at Plattling! The one on the far left was a loco at both ends, whereas the one on the right merely had one loco
  11. Does WLB mean the blue & white Taurus? If so, it's been there since Wednesday at 16:26 http://webcam.deg.net/?a=showcam&w=showarchivimage&o=pla&id=201105251626
  12. Thanks very much 1216! What is this train on platform 7 (opposite the new EMU that was introduced this year)? I saw it yesterday too, but it doesn't show up on any of the passenger timetables. It stayed for around an hour yesterday and then left
  13. I've never seen a black MRCE 189 at Plattling before...
  14. Thanks 1216025, those 440s are common now. They go from Plattling to Neumarkt and vice versa I think. I haven't seen wagons such as these in Plattling before, what do they carry?
  15. Whenever I see anything of interest, I usually just press the "print screen button" and then edit the image in whatever software you have. You have to time it correctly, but this works if you can't find the current.jpg file thing.
  16. It's been ages since I've seen a black Taurus go through Plattling
  17. This coal (?) train sometimes gets a red 140(?) locomotive at either end. But today was a black 185(?)
  18. Please could you share this knowledge? I find freight trains tend to run around 2 minutes to the hour & 12 minutes past the hour quite regularly. Although I don't watch enough to know what traction it will be.
  19. this video seems to be typical of what goes through Plattling and this train has 46 (?) container flats. I don't know how many British intermodals have, but I imagine it is less in length than this.
  20. Thank you David! With this photo of Olten http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/c/c1/BhfOltenWestkopf.JPG it should be work out to see what train is at what platform on the webcam (the webcam is nearest to platform 12 I think) and then to look at the timetable to see where it came from and is going to. And it should be the same for Plattling too. All I need know is a Swiss freight timetable and I'm all set! Thanks again.
  21. A while ago I saw a link giving a live timetable for Plattling station, but have since lost it. Does anyone still have it please? Does Olten have a live timetable link anywhere please, or something similar so I can input the time and it gives me all the departures of the trains?
  22. the cargonatus website can also be used to work out where the freight trains you see have come from/going to (although it isn't clear on that website) This may be a freight from Antwerp to Wels in Austria
