  1. The line is the Louisville & Indiana RR (CSX running rights) and the crossing line is CSX Indiana Subdivision The Camera is on "Bite The Bullet" Gunshop. (Found all that by looking for Seymour IN. on Google Earth & Open Railway Map.)
  2. Of the Handsacre-Manchester bit, the section to Crewe is IMHO the most important section as it bypasses the bottlenecks between there and Crewe and bring the biggest benefit..
  3. Standard size wheels, same as a 28XX, give or take a tyre thickness.
  4. I thought it needed an act of parliament to cancel the route, to reverse the previous act of parliament that authorised it.
  5. It's actually Hopwood Park and it's not physically on the M42 but adjacent to the junction with the A441 Birmingham - Redditch Road. (It's not too far from where I live)
  6. I wondered whether Freemo setups count for largest transportable layout? If not, why not?
  7. I don't know whether this has cropped up before. Apparently as some of those green BT cabinets being used for analogue telephone lines are taken out of use they are being repurposed to EV roadside chargers. (they all have a mains supply) Each cabinet can support two charging points. Obviously some will be in unsuitable places but there are tens of thousands of them all over the UK, which will be redundant once we are all on digital only services.
  8. It's an NHS thing. We can still phone for appointments, prescriptions etc. but it was so much easier doing it on-line. Today i tried to book two appointments, you have to select an option when you phone but have to put up with 1 minute 40 secs of spiel before it gets to the selection (you can't do it earlier - I tried!), then you get another 30 secs or so of how busy we are and that there could be a long wait. Then you are connected and are (in my case) no 1 in the queue, wait another 4 or 5 minutes and - B*gger! The battery in the handset gave out. so I had to start again with a different handset. In the end I couldn't book either as 1) they had run out of Covid Vaccines and 2) no appointments until the week beginning 3rd June but the dates in the appointment book weren't yet available to book! I can remember when this practice could book you in within a few days. The number of doctors hasn't changed, the number of patients registered hasn't changed.
  9. When we had a guest house in Keswick, we learned that a lot of the shop staff, waiting staff etc came from Workington and such places where industry had died. The locals weren't interested in the service industry.
  10. Must be one of those Tesla self driving thingys🙂
  11. Doesn't HS2 count as "Business Development"?
  12. Incorrect again They have sold odd items at various times. I bought one of those 0-4-0s for a 5 pound note pre pandemic. Not quite sure why but it was only £5😄
  13. The longest one now outdoes that one being more than 41m long and seating a couple of a dozen riders
  14. I've seen one with two rows of riders but I can't remember how many in total. You can buy a 5 seater off the shelf:
  15. Is there lining below the rivets, or an aberration in the photo?
  16. Foiled again. Started log on with the PC, after entering my mobile phone number and memorable word, expecting to get the one time passcode by text, they have now added another feature. You have to use your phone after downloading an authenticating app from google store to finish logging on, you can't do it with a PC!
  17. Let's hope there is a plug of depleted uranium in the boiler to give it some haulage power😁
  18. A couple of months ago they showed 5 programmes Mon-Fri on preserved lines. They were quite old (2011-12?) and rather in the vein of those Demand branded DVDs that were often in the clearance stores. Worth a look though if they show them again.
  19. It needs some work to bring it up to scratch.
  20. Please, Please Dapol get it right. No half jobs that need a second batch to bring the best out of them. I'm in if they are done well, like the Mainline & City stock.
  21. I used the JST to provide pickups and decoder space in the tender so that the loco can have more lead in the boiler in several of mine. Can't see what's wrong with it. I posted a thread on doing this to a Bachmann 2251.
  22. Surprisingly high, more than a model loco will ever need. USB- C is 24 pin
