Today i have been working on the Midland TPO again i have been fitting the roof vents & built up the chassie as this is going to be finished in LMS livery i have fitted it with a battery box & dynamo plus not fitted lanp tops to the roof as pre the photos of the M&NEJPS ones in the 50's then there was the bogies to build again these as well as the underframe parts are from 247 Developments
  3. todays running was a lot easier with 2 than 1 operater Ther was some intensive movments today here are some videos that i took 2-6-0 on the passinger train railcars Boxcab pulling hoppers The shay pulling its logging cars
  4. All ran well today & i am happy with the layout heres a quick video of the layout from today sorry for the qualtiy as its from my phone & i will take my camarer with me tomorrow
  5. well the relayed track has been painted & all is now packed ready to put in the car tomorrow morning also picked up a Bachmann gondola to boost stock So if anyone is around Uppermill over the weekend call & say Hi
  6. then after Lunch i have built up the body & roof the next job is to drill out the roof for the vents & lamp tops i hope to be picking up the chassie etch tomorrow then i can hopefully get it finished apart from painting before the weekend

The Mk1 have had to be put on hold as i had to work on my Forks Trestel layout to get it ready for this weekend Today i have made a start on the 247 Developments etches for a Midland / M&NEJPS TPO So far i have formed up the roof, sides & sorting duckets(i think thats what you call them) the i have built these up in to the two sides plus made a start on soldering the ends to the sides After lunch i will carying on with this build

Well i have got the track down today & i am about to do some of the wiring At the mo the yards can only work with Forks as i have run of of track but i will fit the bridging tracks to the outer ends before the CRM show so the yards can be put anywere withing the On30 Modules note to self must pick up some small door nobs them screws are sharp
  10. I find if you re-size the pic to 700 picels its fits OK & not under the boxes
  11. HELP Forks Trestle is now filling in on november 28th/29th 2009 @ the show in Uppermill I have a passinger train & a logging train plus a small goods train at the mo but look to the CRM for stock transfers to increas trains O & a Model T railcar Plus i Need to build the fiddleyards

The next job is 4 Southern Pride Mk1's 3of which have brass sides & one with per-printed sides a Dia 32 Booth Car a Dia 32 Griddle Car a Dia 79 Lounge 1st & the pre- printed Dia 72 open 1st All to be finished in BR blue/gray livery & today i have painted the coach ends blue & made a start on the 1st chassie which is for the Dia 72 Also today i have given the GWR TPO a coat of GWR Cream paint Sorry no pics today

I use this setting to take phots of finished models lI did not build the Viaduct it was built by johnteal from on here as part of is old shed layout & when he got rid of the old layout i got it from him for taking photos of finished models on I must say it has the look of the scotish Glenfinan Viaduct the background is a Faller Austrian backsceine sheet but looks the part

  17. well i have now finished building the GWR Dia L23 TPO & its now ready for painting which i hope to start doing tomorrow heres the pic
  18. I am trying to post a blog per days work so thing may get slit up a bit Thjorw i am going to start a ne blog for finished models there will be pics later tonight once i have had my tae & fitted the roof fittings
  19. Well i have had some fun with the chassie 1st the solebars etch for the fold was not wide enough to be folded so i had to wided it it out al so the solebar steps markings were in the wrong place this info has been past on to Errol
  20. well i have got the body built apart from fixing the roof on once this has been done i will need to fill in around the net doors I have drilled out the roof ready for the vents which will be fitted once i have finish fitting the roof but that will be tomorrow Now as will the chassie I boboed when fitting the ends as i got then the wrong way & had to remove them & re-fit at the right ends The Highland TPO is now in LMS maroon & i hope to get the roof painted tonight
  21. Well Larry the body is all soldered up & the roof has been cut to lenth with the net doors cutout it needs a 1 or 2 twecks to get it to fit but thats after i have had something to eat
  22. A Today as well as painting the Highland TPO I am making a start on a GWR Dia L23 TPO from the 247 Developments range Heres what you get in the box i am going to be replacing the etched Gangways with 247's cast ones now off to switch on the iron
