  1. Thanks for the pics and information on the loads. What are the webing straps securing the load made from? Thanks Guy
  2. Hi Kevin. Nice photos of an excellent layout. Could you post a few pics of your loaded BDA's please? Thanks Guy
  3. If you have the DVD that came with Model Rail in December. has a short clip of a 37 with what looks like 1 TEA and a few TTA's Pulling out of a siding onto the main line. HTH Dex
  4. Sh*t, I'm turning into a spotter! It's just kinda crept up on me!! I saw 60045 this morning crossing the bridge that spans the A19 at the south end of the Tyne Tunnel at 07:50 this morning. It was running light, going west slowly and I gotta say it looked bloody great, slightly silhouetted with it tail lights on. Then the driver gave it some beans and it gave out a small cloud of clag as it moved forward. I really wish I had my camera cos the light was just starting and it was perched up high on the bridge with its small clag cloud dark against the winter morning/night sky. Next thing I know I'll be sat at Northumbria Park Metro Station taking pics of the GBRf 66's and hoppers thundering through on the adjoining branch....OH NO..........It's got me.....I'm doomed....I'm a spotter.....and I like it. Seriously though why would 045 of been running light? Every other time I've seen a loco up there its had a rake of TEA's behind it whether it was going west or east. I assume its a Lindsey- Jarrow oil train? Dex

    4-CEP

Hi RB. Only found this Blog via your pics, looks excellent so far. Why dont you start a thread in the layouts section I'm sure you would get more comments and people following your progress. The 4CEP and tornado look the business and its nice to see the scenics started......I really must crack on with my layout!! Cheers Dex
  6. I think it is because they are at the start of the thread and when people first visited they will hace noticed you can select a photo. They may have thought the "link" took them somewhere such as a fotopic sit or gallery on rmweb. When they found it didnt they stopped clicking and enlarging the others unless they wanted to see more detail. Just my thoughts on the subject. Guy
  7. Your secrets are out!! Excellent step by step guide. Thanks Guy
  8. Not sure about the red ballast yet. But what a difference, that whole area coming out of the tunnels has been transformed since you added the ballast, walls and grass. It must inspire you to crack on! Excellent progress. Guy
  9. Glad you have started posting progress again. Makes me want to get on with mine!! Its starting to get a bit of atmosphere now there's some ballast and the start of a backscene. Whats happening with the steel warehouse?
  10. Hi Stuart. I have been following your layout since conception and now you have started detailing the scenics its realy coming alive. Love the tunnel entrance and the view from the door.....not sure about the carpet though!! still at least you wont feel bad if you spill stuff on it. Guy
  11. There is only a few layouts that look as good in the flesh as they do in print; This one is at the top of the tree. I don't care if you don't like modern image. I defy anyone not to spend an age looking at this layout and still feel they have missed something when they leave. When it was at Darlington in 2008 I spent an embarrassingly long time just gawping at it. The whole thing just works, everything has a purpose. In short you can believe it's a model of a fully functioning section of railway. Go and see it wher you can you won't be dissapointed. Guy
