  1. this coach was released by Hornby like this, from 'the great discovery' set. thomas had a different face for that set too!!! looks like its been given the flicking toothbrush method of weathering!

  10. Life is so good at times. ive just been given a 22 foot layout, complete with overhead lines, working points and colour light signals. and yes, it will be on the exhibition circuit next year! if i get invites!! watch a thread appearing next week when ive collected it. :-)

      Usually a couple of hours, but sometimes they put a hold on the transfer for 'review purposes. No idea what this means or why they do it though!

  13. had to laugh at the 47/3 on bachmanns website with the jumper on the nose end upside down!! it looks like a rhino! hopesits corrected before production!

  15. there is a picture in the book, the intercity story that shows a HST power car in the Intercity livery that was applied to the 91's. it looks good but ive never seen a livery pic of it, any chance for those that are good agt this sort of thing? cheers.

  17. defo get the DPS book. ive got a copy and its the type of book, that if someone said, you can only save one book (i have around 500!), which would it be, it'd be that one. thats how good it is.

  19. picked up a new Bachmann dynamis handset for 25 quid today. happy!!

  20. modelling update today:- dremel collet siezed on = broken pliars trying to free = frustration and 1 hour modelling time lost = no dremel and one pair of needle pliar down. :-(

  21. it seems im a jinx. the last three loco's ive renumbered. the real counter parts have gone to kingsbury!!

  22. hi. has anyone else had a problem with shorting of thier class 50? ive got a 50004 st vincent that shorts on all my insufrog points. its dcc fitted and my points are fitted with Hornby dcc point clips. my other 50's, 50007, 50045, 2 repainted 50035's do not do it. its just this one loco and i cannot work it out. any help would be great. thank you.
  23. so many things going wrong on layout at min, and now derailing Hornby redland pga's are causing a real headache. seriously thinking of throwing in the towel all together.

  24. 21 redland hoppers need re-wheeling. and 18 Hornby HAA hoopers need new wheels. :-( more work to do.

  25. lima class 92, £10 non runner off ebay, soldered the pick up wires back on and bingo!! what a bargain. and all top detail present too!!
