  1. downloaded abode acrobat and still cannot view pdf file, what am i doing wrong?

      well i was scanning some things into a pdf folder, when i try and open it it says file not currently supported.

      In my experience, the trouble starts when you switch on the computer ;-)

      Adobe's installers can be a bit of a pain. Could try Foxit Reader as an alternative (and often faster) PDF viewer.

  2. 50035 arrived today, what a mess!! grills have been badly glue on, missing one compressor underneath, missing ETH cables, missing all buffer footsteps, glue of one windscreen, no traction tyres, although im replacing the wheels. 'restoration' will start tonight. just waiting on D400 from rails now. which will be stripped and repainted as 50149 defiance. will post some pictures later.
  3. well as of last week all i had was 50004 in heavily weathered condition, now i have 50004 st vincent 50045 achillies off ebay awaiting slight repair fitment of buffer steps 50035 coming from ebay, hopefully tomorro, needs repair to grills/underframe repainted D400 spares/repair from rails off ebay ive purchased some grills from rmweb's 50033 via ebay also. and im hoping to get a 50015 minus sound from trains4u. the hoover bug has bitten bad!
  4. really gotta stop buying class 50's! 4 in a week off ebay and got my eye on 50015 in trains4u! my workbench is starting to look like old oak!!!

  6. can finally sit back, breath out, after 5 weeks of nights, illness, having babies! and generally being far to busy i now have time to do some modelling.

  10. is now a very proud daddy to a 7lb 2 once baby boy, james was born on the 26th. now to build him a train set!!!

  18. got a bargain, a model rail/vitrains DRS 47501 from the window of peterboroiugh's cash converters for £19.99!! bargain

  19. valve gear off, and back on, all wheels lubricated, speedo cable not too tight, yet my Hornby A4 still clicks!!!

  20. rode on the joint line from doncaster to peterborough, bellowing out of a HST window with clicky clack track and the sleaford avoider. first HST since 1991. great stuff.

      Funny rode an hired in East Midlands HST back from Donny to P'boro on Friday evening! Nice change from MK4s!

  22. the nearest i came to was a small dalek produced as a toy, it was kinda like kinder eggs, they were sold at tescos in a box and you didnt know what was inside until you opened it, luck was on my side and i got a gold dalek, cut of its stand upto the base of the dalek and you have a roughly 1:76 scale dalek. looks good next to the tardis! ill post a picture later today
