  1. Good Morning All, 8 Oktas here, blustery and wet. Not long up and fully recovered from Warley (Oh please, can I go back today??!!??)
  2. Morning All, Late on parade this morning, I've got the day off so doing things at my own pace - before I'm up tomorrow at a very work-like time to go to a small exhibition at the NEC, has anyone heard of it??? It's awful to hear about the people caught up and assocciated with the flooding. It's wild and blustery here this morning too but looks like it's stopped raining now. That article about that dancer is sickening as en epileptic myself, it's just tasteless. Have a good day everyone, I'm sure I'll be lurking on here a bit today
  3. Please See Video of the Class 50's Below: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hg1dpqs4sTg
  4. Aaaaaaaaahhh.... the big light has just come on above about the K1 "thing" I know In one of our emails last week John I referenced "stand" K1, when I first mentioned meeting points, I didn't realise at that point, or until about 3 hours ago, that the Centerpiece loco *was* a K1... Anyway, yes, with that N Gauge / Narrow Gauge squint I've developed in the last couple of years, I could miss everything!!
  5. Good Morning All! Well! It's Friday! - Or at least, as good as a Friday here for me! I'm taking a "Warley Long Weekend" So knocking off from the office today and not back until Tuesday. I hope everyone located up North, in Wales and South West Scotland are all OK, the weather men are saying they're going to get some quite severe rain in the next 48 hours or so... Is everyone still on for the 1300 meet on Saturday at stand K1 ??
  6. Good Morning (Afternoon!) All! Sorry I couldn't get on earlier, I had rather a busy start to the morning, and have just now settled down to RMWeb I hope that everyone is well, No puns here as stars escape me! Best Wishes Graham
  7. OK, Prompted by a couple of posts in reply to my thread in DCC Sound, I'm going to detail here as best I can how I did the DCC Converstion. Items Used were: ESU Loksound Micro Burnt with Class 50 Project, supplied by South West Digital 2 x Graham Farish Class 50 Locos, 1 China Chassis, 1 Poole Chassis 2 pin micro plug, supplied by DCC Supplies 16 * 25 (The smallest rectangular size available either way) speaker - supplied with the ESU LSM Tools Used: Warding Files Dremel Multitool Wire Cutters/Strippers Soldering Iron & Solder (Lead Free) Method - Roughly! Cut off plug supplied on the Loksound. On the Poole Chassis strip the drive train out and the metal cross member above the removable fuel tank. It is this hole where the speaker is going to sit. Solder one side of the micro plug to the speaker and feed the plug / cable up into the chassis, and feed out the front of the loco between the body and bogie - you may have to shave a bit out of the centre of the buffer beam to make the whole thing now sit more happily. On the China Chassis, install the decoder as detailed in Gareth's (Trains4u) guides for standard installation into a split chassis loco. Attach the other half of the plug onto the now bare speaker wire from the chip. Feed the micro connection again out of the body between the body and leading bogie, on the China body you will definitely have to file away the centre of the buffer beam to allow free movement of the bogie with the wire on top. So finally, connect up the micro plug over the rapido connector, then link together the Rapido couplings, and away you go! I hope this helps someone!
  8. They Said it couldn't be done, they said he was mad... Morning All! I've always wanted to start one of these "Workbench" trackers, but I had so much floating across my workbench in so many different states of dis-array it seemed a little difficult! Anyway, there is great celebration this morning! For last night rolled off my workbench a Graham Farish Class 50 with an ESU Loksound Micro provided by SOuth West Digital fully installed in it! Boooo yaaaa!!!
  9. Morning All! What a wonderful day this is! OK, so it's all 8 Oktas here, dark, grey and overcast, but I'm still reeling in the success of finishing the conversion on my Graham Farish Class 50's to DCC Sound Enabled! Rock on! Have a good day everyone!
  10. Morning All, As already reported by other Hampshire "Hogs" who roam here, things here are very wet! Probably about 7 Oktas here and was lashing down when I got up, it has eased a little since, but the full waterproofs were required for the cycle to work! The upside of the rain is that with reduced grip it was a very fast run into the office this morning!! I hope everyone has a good week! only 4 days this week as I'm taking a Warley Extension (Sounds more like a Mornington Crescent Move! ) Keep Smiling!
  11. Morning All! All 8 Oktas here and they're leaking quite substantially! Still, it's Friday Morning, 1/2 a day left to go of this week - I've found myself this week again quite tired, so I'll be glad to get to 12 o;clock! Does anyone have any plans for the weekend? I've been trying to squeeze in some railway-ing but didn't here great thinks about the Southampton Exhibition, and Tolworth is just a bit too hard to get to on Public Transport.... Have a good Friday everyone!
  12. Thanks for the "warning" Jam! I'll put my 'proofs on before leaving the office!
