What's the reasoning behind the 700 on the Class 50?
-
Having a few 404 Errors on the site at the moment.
-
I bought several 57xx & 8750 Loco Bodies and hope I can achieve the same attention to detail. Great inspiration, well done.
-
Very nice job.

For some unknown reason I was unable to access the BRdatabase forum earlier today but all appears to be ok now!
41222 4A Bletchley 09/09/1950 code change to 1E Bletchley 01/03/1952
41222 then went to Carlisle
41222 worked the last train on the Wolverton to Newport Pagnell line. The Branch Passenger was known locally as the "Newport Nobby".

I seem to recall I sent you the above information in a message via the brdatabase forum and that because it was under used you removed the forum. Maybe if you reintroduced it you will get more dialogue?

41222 was a 1E Bletchley Engine for many years before transferring to Carlisle. Source, personal observation.

coming along nicely.

You decided on modelling a clean 8F then! Looking good.
-
Will be interesting. But where does the dome and safety valves go!!!
I'm sure it will become apparent as the build progress!!!
-
Looking forward to see this one develop; you can't be a good Gronk!
-
Many thanks for the advice, I'll take a look at the suggested books.

You've done a great job with Tinsley. Last time I was there was Sept 1990 at the Open Day, happy days.
I have it in mind to build a two road BR Blue TMD with a similar style to your Tinsley. Do you have any constructional details / pictures?

Hello Dave,
Sorry to hear you have been feeling a bit down of late. What with today being the first day of summer and your new Proxxan I hope you soon get your mojo back. I wonder what you think of the Proxxan build quality? I have a brochure but unfortunately not the time or money at present, maybe one day!
All the best.
David

Fantastic (the pup and the railway).

Lovely engines apart from their liveries; I much prefer unlined green or black! I bet the run up the Lickey was impressive though.
-
And a nice radiator to keep you warm through the winter months !
-
Excellent pictures, I love the Duchess; if only.....................................
-
I must admit my livery preference for any GWR Engine was always green, however the unlined black is certainly gaining my interest, especially for my chosen period of late 50's early 60's. Well done Frank another masterpiece!
-
Thanks for the info, it's certainly a nice job.
-
Excellent panel, how did you achieve the Panel printing?
-
Frank, A nice weathering job on your Ivatt. We had 41222 at Bletchley for working the Wolverton to Newport Pagnell Branch.
-
Rosie was nearly 14, unfortunately she had the big 'c'. We lost her just over a year ago.
Looking forward to seeing your layout develop; wish I had room for Moretonhampstead in 7mm, will have to settle for 4mm.
-
I think Henry as some doubts about the plan!
Wish my Rosie was still with me to help out.

Love the Princess; wish I was old enough to have seen them in action. I was though, fortunate to be able to see and remember the last years of the Duchessses.
