Hi Mark,
Just interested to see how detailed / realistic the Class 08 is and if it was a kit built, who supplied it.

Nice shots; do you have any close up's of the Class 08?
-
Hello Frank, Looking forward to seeing this develop.
The Shed looks busy, a Pannier Tank and a Manor!
-
46245 City of London was one of my favorites, she was always kept reasonably clean even though relagated to some Parcel Trains towards the end of her career.
-
Excellent work Frank, well done.
-
Keep smiling Dave!
-
I too have a 43xx waiting for a chassis and detailing, so I will also be watching with interest.
-
Very neat!
-
I hope my effort turns out as good as yours!
-
That's excellent news Frank, I wish you well.
-
Brass Number plates would finish an otherwise perfect job.
-
Frank,
It was very nice to meet up with you at Wolverhampton; I'd been wanting to see Pen Y Bont since it appeared on the Exhibition Circuit.
ok on the back problems, I know how painful that can be; I have arthritis in 2 /3 of my spine.
As you know my job takes me away from home at short notice so it's difficult to plan too far ahead. I would be happy to help you at Exhibitions with Pen Y Bont if I'm available.

Hi Dave,
Sorry to hear you have been under the weather; I wish you a speedy recovery.
I would very much like to have my own 'Machine Shop'; may be one day! I hear Myford's are no longer. I guess the foreign imports didn't help.
-
Nice tips there Frank.
I was disappointed to hear that your next exhibition outing is next weekend; I'm booked on the Train of Hope Railtour, so looks like I'll miss out yet again!

Maybe worth joining http://www.merg.org.uk/ if you are not already a member?

Looking good Frank, should make a nice versatile layout when finished. Good thing is that you can still use the smaller version whilst building the extension.

Hello Mark,
Well you certainly made a good job with Foundary Lane, so I don't see why you can't do the same with your new project. Look forward to seeing this develop.
I like the Ply Box construction, it's the method I intend to use. Are you using Marine Ply?

Hello Dave,
Many thanks for you relpy, very informative. I do have a Wife and also a Laminator, so I'll give it a try.
-
Hi Dave, how do you produce the lettering and lines on your mimic panel?
-
Thanks for the update Dave, look forward to the Point Control & Mimic panel.
-
Thats a cracking job you've done there its ashame you are painting it black though.
I quite agree, although my interest in Black livery is slowing growing on me
-
about time you paid your bill
-
I wondered what had happened to you, welcome back

Good luck with your 'Outbuilding'. I've decided to go down the DIY route; might as well build what I want rather than what is available. The quality (abysmal) of my 10 x 8 shed was the deciding factor.

Thanks for the Class 08 images.
Your Pannier Tank looks a 'beaut'; looking forward to see this develop.
