  1. As you may be able to see if you read it , I said a POST not the thread .
  2. As has been said many times and on many threads , if a particular post doesn't interest you just move on . No need to make a fuss about it .
  3. Quote from the contractor , the nearly 4 foot saw blade , '' may have come loose from a lost bolt and potential operator error '' , well no *hit sherlock .
  4. It may be similar to torque reaction in an aircraft causing pull on take off . From the net , The primary reason the 172 wants to move left during the takeoff roll is due to torque. The propeller, rotating clockwise, causes the aircraft to rotate in the opposite direction (counter-clockwise). I don't know if full power is applied to a ship to get it under way but if so it could cause a similar effect , I'm sure @jjb1970 can help out here . He has , 😎

  6. I can't wait to see this in operation . https://www.burnham-on-sea.com/news/cable-cars-could-soon-operate-along-hinkley-point-t-pylons-running-through-somerset/
  7. I would say it meets the definition exactly . From Wiki, An outboard motor is a propulsion system for boats, consisting of a self-contained unit that includes engine, gearbox and propeller or jet drive,
  8. Not everyone gets that right . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gt6tr2Ofi14
  9. I came across this on Youtube , not a ship but a different take on propulsion . I will post as a link as a tease . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oLRNf8nzcC8
  10. Well it seems to exist again , https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@51.5626487,0.5759972,3a,51.8y,218.13h,99.61t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1s9S9Tz91itXaIxVcMbmwndA!2e0!7i16384!8i8192?entry=ttu
  11. There is also several vids of drift cars that are using 6 rotor set ups .
  12. I heard that a high ranking air force officer was once asked about the accuracy of there bombing capability , he is supposed to have replied that it was 100% and every bomb was guaranteed to hit the ground .
  13. Found this , Diversion routes are suggested by the companies carrying out works and the general rule is to divert traffic to the most appropriate category of road. For example, roadworks on an A road require a diversion route to be provided on another A road, if available. As the local highway authority we cannot refuse to accept suggested diversion routes unless there is already a significant level of activity on that part of the network. AFAIK if you know the area you are free to pick your own route .
  14. Diversions have to be usable by HGV hence some of the odd routes .
