  4. Superb! Always enjoy watching fasts overtaking slow line trains, excellent! Graham
  5. Progress continues but somehow test trains are still more important! Graham.
  6. Excellent choice Steve, always enjoy your layouts, even better when there’s 3rd rail involved! Graham
  7. Looking very nice David, the trackside lights are excellent! Graham.
  8. Looking great David, love the first picture, it’s like your standing on the platform waiting for a train to appear. Graham.
  9. In other news a few of these have arrived, superb detailing and paintwork, I think more will be on order. Graham.
  10. Hello all, Slow progress as I’m enjoying testing the trains. Graham.
  11. Excellent David, this is my favourite part of building a layout, running trains with lots of imagination. look forward to more. graham.
  12. Hi David, The backscene is a commercial one, can’t remember the product number but it’s a self adhesive version from ID backscenes, got a feeling they’ve changed names too?? Graham
  13. Hello all, I have been slightly distracted from track laying and added some greenery to a small section on the embankment, makes the photos a little better. When the mainlines were laid I added a cant to the curves, I didn’t want to go over the top and even though it’s awkward to photo I don’t think it looks to bad. cheers Graham
  14. Hello, latest little project. Turn this. into something that reassembles The coach has been stripped down, masked up, undercoated, and had a few layers of white, I’m in the process now of trying to match the First blue/purple with a Dapol mk3. It’s not going to be an exact match by any means but will break up the yellow of the test train. cheers Graham.
  15. I was working away on the layout doing some wiring then in the distance a 37 could be heard! Amazing how distractions slow progress!! Graham.
  16. Hello all, First layer of scenery going down, base layer before I try the static grass on it. Also chipped the Kato 800, no good for my WCML theme but I like it. Graham.
  17. Hi Dave, Short answer, no, I tried this evening to rub it off with thinners on a cotton bud, it does remove the paint but also takes off the coating used on the bsckscene, it’s knackered! Two choices, leave it with Nicks suggestion of dodgy brown birds or replace it, I think I’ll go with the latter. Graham
  18. Hi Dave, unfortunately I can’t take any credit for the 58, it’s a Mercig engine, Ian does a first class job with detailing and weathering. cheers Graham.
  19. Hello all, A sneaky ballast train popped in overnight to drop a test section, old school motive power made an appearance too. Hawk eyed viewers may see the backscene is ruined, like an idiot when I air brushed the track some over spray has flicked up onto it, I’ll try to remove it with some thinners but a replacement may be necessary. Graham
  20. Nice photos Robert, one question though, what is that circled in red???? Graham
  21. Hello all, I haven’t completed the track work yet, but fancy doing some scenic work on the embankment just to have somewhere to video and photograph the trains. Air brush came out to attack the rails, simple job of masking up the sleepers and giving the sides a blast of colour, the track will all be weathered in situ once the ballast is laid but I now like to do the rails first just to give some variation. Graham.
  22. Hi David, It’s Woodland scenic’s fine ballast, not sure on colours as I’m at work, will check later. Graham.
