  1. Hi Nick, Well it would be rude not to use it. Graham.
  2. And we’re off. good day for these to turn up. Graham
  3. First bit of work was to adapt the large radius left hand points, I want the junction to be more of a Y shape and as peco don’t make large radius ones I’ve simply cut all the webbing underneath with a razor saw and gently eased out the points, I can’t do to much with the crossing as it will involve quite a bit of butchering so I’ll leave that alone. It’s a subtle difference but I think it’ll look good once in place. Graham
  4. hi David, same era, slightly different location, going to have a lower and upper level, diverging junction, and hopefully a canal scene in the front. To be honest I love this part of a build, so many possibilities. Graham
  5. Hello…. Some sad news and some good news. first up I cannot store the portable layout anywhere so I’ve had to dismantle it, everything on it was salvaged so not wasted. Now the good news! permanent layout in the loft, the headroom is not ideal but I’ll cope, baseboards have been started, tracklaying will begin soon. Graham
  6. Glad to see you back, excellent layout. Graham
  7. Hello all, I’ve been contemplating a small layout in 0 gauge for a while, and whilst I’ve held off buying an 08 or pannier a very nice Heljan 60 came up for sale which I just could not refuse! And so, a little adventure in the garden is to be made. The garden is quite small so I’m going to run a single line from the shed ( storage area ) down one side in a raised flower bed, when it gets to the patio a removable station or whatever takes my fancy will be built. Another reason for this foray into 0 gauge is my two little nephews who love trains, especially as there dad keeps showing them videos of Dapol terriers! I’m fortunate enough to work in construction and can get hold of quite bulky timbers so Starting with a 6 meter length of 9x4, I marked out the track bed then proceeded to cut the sides like an embankment, once the basic shape was done the timber was coated in creosote, then wrapped with a torch on roofing felt. I’ve put some temporary timber supports in the plant bed to sit it level, and will now bed it in concrete to make a solid track bed. At the moment that is as far as I’ve got, however I couldn’t help but test out a few locos. main reason I’m building it. Graham
  8. I’ve dived in, been resisting for some time but this beauty came up on eBay and I couldn’t say no. Graham
  9. Fantastic work Michael, love the shot of pacer in the platform with the hotel bearing over it, absolutely superb! Graham
  10. Mike/Ben, what are the chances of Caroline being produced in 0 gauge???? your DRS 37 is tempting me! cheers Graham
  11. Well done Mike, sorry I couldn’t make it up to see you all, looks like a great show was had by all. Graham

  15. Hi simon, Excellent work on the re livery’s, very envious of the 47s, Both the RES and EWS, I think it’s time I get the airbrush out! Graham
  16. cheers Phil, I’ve got the basics in place, need to move on to static grass and weathering next, and the 50 odd trees! in other news, I’m really pleased these are going to get produced. little bit of forward planning I bought three JGAs off eBay. so that eventually I can model something similar to this. This was filmed at Tonbridge 2018, about 30 seconds into the video. cheers Graham
  17. Hello all, fourth track is in place and now ballasted, more landscaping and some of the smaller details going in, quite enjoying just doing ten mins here and there, much more productive! cheers Graham
  18. Great news, I’ve wanted to replicate the train I saw at Tonbridge a few years back. 30 seconds in to the video. Graham
