Hello all, Few hours spent laying blue tac inside the check rails before filler is applied, little and often will be the best way I think! 🥴 Graham.

Nice progress Simon, very interesting idea using the vehicles as switches, might have to steal that idea. 🤔 Graham. -
Hello all, Went into the loft tonight to chip a Farish 57 (which didn’t happen!) got a little side tracked and spent a frustrating hour trying to wire the turntable which would not play ball. 😡 Needed to test the trackwork so got out some 90s stock and had a little play. Graham.

Hello all, Few jobs ticked of the list today. Finished the trackwork in the storage yard and began the wiring ( one of my lesser favoured jobs! ) the important bits like the depot, reverse modules etc are completed, just need to wire about 40 more droppers and it’ll be done. 🤪 More plaster cloth, paint, and scatters added, static grass, ballasting and trees next. Graham.

Thanks for sharing the photo Dave, looks great! I love the scenic section but always fascinated by the unseen sections, very nice indeed. Graham

Hi Simon, Shame to see the layout gone but good luck on the new version, look forward to it. 👍 Graham -
Measure twice cut ere….. twice! Decided to fit an awkward section of track up the gradient, something I should have done at the start but put it off for some reason? Anyway, fitted some timber track off scene then concrete for the scenic section, somehow managed to cut the hidden bit couple of inches to short! Idiot! An easy fix but still Annoying! Also cut a piece of hardboard for the backscene, been playing around with shaping it but not quite happy yet. Graham

First thing that struck me was the Kent coast signal box, was half expecting to see and EPB pop up, must be wishful thinking. Graham

Hello all, Smaller jobs underway whilst I put off wiring the fiddle yard! Changing couplings again to the Hunt magnets, made quite a difference to the 350. 👌 I need to either scratch build or source a pair sharfenberg couplings for the outer vehicles, then a gentle weathering and done. Graham

Hi Dave, thanks 👍 The fiddle yard ( Dust sidings ) will be surrounded with timber frame and topped off with Perspex to protect the trains, it will be lit to aid viewing. The yard/loco area will have scenery, loosely based on Old Oak Common. little bit hard to explain exactly but the main layout and yard will be merged together via a hill/trees, a backscene will flow over both of them also disguising the fiddle yard. In the photo the red line is roughly where it will be. hope that helps. Graham.

Hello all, Various jobs are in progress and todays highlight was fitting 4 decoders to a pair of Farish 350’s, what an absolute nightmare! An hour spent trying to remove / re attach the body’s without damaging them! I still need to detail the outer ends and change the couplings but my patience has been pushed a bit so it’ll wait. A few new additions too. Graham.

Fantastic! 👌

Cheers, re-furnished CEP, now you’re talking! Look forward to it. I’ve got a 4 car networker to finish myself and im thinking of using power bogies from a Bachmann 150, hopefully more powerful. Graham
