  1. The storage sidings are growing! Graham.
  2. It’s the first time I’ve ever had a decent sized storage yard in 25 yrs of modelling, really like seeing the rakes all ready to go, also got ideas for loco storage. 😉 Graham.
  3. Hello all, The dust sidings have begun! It’s nice to be able to have full rakes to hand and then run them straight onto the layout. Graham.
  4. Hello all, I had a good chat with the lads from West hill Wagon works at the N gauge show, mainly about lighter wagons throwing themselves off the track because the magnets didn’t have any play in them, I asked if they had anything to rectify the problem and voila they showed me there new pivoting couplings, some were purchased and I’ve started fitting them to some bulk rakes, I’m trialing them with one pivot and one fixed to see how I get on. cheers Graham.
  5. Really like the 31 on canted track, looks fantastic! Hard to tell it’s a model. Graham.
  6. Hello all, A rare day off! So I’ve ventured into the loft to make a start on a large storage yard! This is a first for me, having enough space to build decent sized sidings, I’ve had a rough work out and should get 21 roads in comfortably with a return loop at the end. It will be enclosed eventually with a purspex top to keep the dust to a minimum, although I’ll be referring to it as the Dust sidings! Graham
  7. Hello all, Had a delivery of the new RevolutioN JNAs, very nice wagons indeed which just had to be tested! Graham.
  8. Hello all, ventured into the loft today to have a tidy up and do a little work. mocked up the canal scene to get a feel of where things are going. need to spray the lower track and ballast, then think about the water for the canal. new wagons tomorrow I think, reason to delay scenics and test more rolling stock! 🤪 Graham.
  9. Hi Ian, The greenery is really bringing the layout to life, looks great! like the cement train pic/story too, need some more like that. 👍 Graham
  10. Hi Jon, I’m extremely impressed, I already have a sound fitted 08, one of the first batch models which is great but not as loud or clear as this one. Hi David, I had told myself no but I’m glad I caved in and bought one, she really is a beauty, sure it will be destined for an engineers yard or a station pilot. 😉 now the weather is a little cooler hopefully work on the layout will increase. cheers Graham.
  11. Hello all, I tried really hard to resist but………… just had to get one, beautiful model which is no doubt going to be a reason for yet another layout! very impressed with the sound, now if only I could get stay alive in it. 🤪 cheers Graham.
  12. Hi Jez, Glad to see work resuming, one of my favourite N gauge builds! Also looking forward to the point-work construction. Graham.
  13. Hi Scott, only just found this, glad to see your continuing modelling, very nice 👌 Graham.
  14. Hi Jez, been so long since I checked in I forgot you’d gone up a scale! Looks really good mate, the loader is superb! Graham.
  15. Really pleased with her, I can see the attraction with large logo engines, suits nearly every class perfectly. Graham
  16. New arrival this week. 37402 reworked from 37558 by West Coast Models. Little bit of forward planning from me as I want 402 paired up with RevolutioN trains Caroline. layout progress is temporarily suspended due to the heat in the loft! Graham
  17. Hello all, It’s been a while with the layout in store but work is now progressing again. I didn’t like the brown on the retaining walls so these were resprayed grey along with the new wall alongside the station, still needs a wash to highlight the brickwork though. Also been filling in scenic areas with first layers of grass/undergrowth etc. Few buildings put in place and roadway.
  18. Hi, I too have only just found your layout, absolutely fantastic! really like the interchangeable branch boards, very good indeed. look forward to more. Graham
  19. Hi David, yes very quick indeed, I haven’t photographed the one that went in whole yet as it not ballasted etc but for instant results they are fantastic, I need to order a load more. I’ve been separating the other one and adding it to existing scatter. highly recommend Graham.
  20. Also been upgrading some cheap trees, bit of hairspray and some scatters / foliage makes them more passable. Original on the right, finished one on the left.
  21. Hello all, I’ve been dabbling with the scenic items I bought and am extremely impressed! The weed/grass matts are fantastic. still work in progress but it’s getting there. Graham.
  22. The mock ups look spot on, I think the large drab brickwork is perfect, for me it’s the gentle gradient of the road, just looks right. keep up the great work. Graham.
  23. Hello all, Reading through the excellent Hunters lane thread David has shared some scenic items he’s using. I thought I’d have a little dabble so ordered some bits, not done much but played about with the Buddleia and a few trees, the static grass matts will certainly make life easier. Graham.
  24. Hi Roy, I did check the website first, just thought I’d have an ask as it’s been quiet on quite a few projects. Cheers Graham.
