Just ruminating, but would knocking out the gears to the 1st and second axles on a DJM Austerity remove the cogging issue by letting one axle and the rods do all the work?
-
@skipepsi They run fine with no motor or worm attached. It’s not the rods, it’s backlash within the gear train when the motor and worm are in position. EFE have changed the motor which may have resolved the issue with the new releases.

What @Porcy Mane said! On the flat it works ok, nothing special, but ok. Downhill, it is, all downhill. I've got two, and two RT chassis' for them!
@mike morley which gearbox and motor combo have you used please?

So what I thought was a failed crank end seal on my Suzuki GT250 turned out to be the neutral selector seal, 2 bolts, no engine out and split crank case = result, more time for the railway.

I'm going to have to discipline myself; drinking at the desk! At least I can walk home.

Why is it, that whenever I see photographs of long closed rural branch lines I go all wibbly and want to model them?

With TINGS approaching fast on Saturday (1 I am VERY much looking forward to attending) does anyone remember the start of thunderbirds? Is that a clue I hear you ask? :-)

Can we have a 'why have you bothered posting, you've said absolutely nothing usefull and your pathetic insistance on being heard just clogs up the thread, why are you even on here as you have shown us absolutely no modelling content' button please?

Well, that's me in a foul mood then, fitting Heljan bendy plastic vac & air pipes to a Class 27 buffer beam - is there any greater torture?...

Hands up anyone that thinks decorating is better than modelling.......

Armchair Shopper - just saved a LOT by "doing nothing"...I wonder if modelling works the same way?

Where can I buy O scale (1/48) windows and doors in the UK?
-
Two windows inserted, only six more to go, plus the door... (the Modelex windows don't quite match the Ratio components...)

It's Ian AllAn, there's no 'E' in it, never has been, never will be

Diesel Fuel starts to freeze at -9.5C. Let’s hope it does not get any colder than that.
