  1. Wow! Always wanted to see a layout of this so this is very interesting! Have you heard about the Parkside Dundas RTR chassis that they are producing for Linda, Charles and Blanche in 009? Is the Linda that you have to build the tank version, one of the Penrhyn ladies (and Charles) would look great on this layout! Look forward to seeing more!
  2. Now this is interesting!! I was at Kyle last week, every time I return from a holiday in that area I'm tempted to model it, but space has always been a problem. Will be following with interest!

    Polly Styrene

That's looking rather neat!! I've never had any problems of foamboard deflecting on Dunbracken and I used it for everything on that, backscene and pelmet included.

    Curved baseboards

Looks good, I'll be interested to see how you tackle this one as i'm thinking of producing two boards for my next layout which will make it turn through 90 degrees. I was thinking of using the same basis as Pempoul, ply frame with pink foam core.
  5. Will anyone be making an appearance at ExpoNG this Saturday? I will be there exhibiting Dunbracken, if you're about come say hello.
  6. Until after ExpoNG when it'll be back to Swiss metre gauge?
  7. It says "age unknown" at present, i'd say that's the best way to define it! ;)

  8. HOe would be the most logical of that lot if it were me, that way you save yourself lots of bother. I have to admit that I watched Swiss Railway Journies on a sky travel channel and thought how attractive it would be to model a similar line.
  9. Either of those look interesting! What would you be looking at trackwise for this?
  10. I'm happy to go to London Bridge (depending on the date as i'm going to SWAG for xmas) so that makes 4
  11. I like the trackplan, at least you'd have something to play with then. Could you not use that as the basis for a Swiss Nm layout and just model a yard or depot or something though if that's what you really want to do? Don't see many Swiss depots, just big sprawling layouts with lots of scenery, might be something a tad different?

    DHR B Class pics

I can't believe they made a streamlined B class, absurd but extremely cool! I've long wanted to model it, it had a fairing over the wheels so you could use something like a kato tram chassis and get away with it! I've got a pic somewhere, will make one for Port na Cailliche for silly hour i think. I hope people find this interesting, still to see how it'll work but it's worth a shot
  13. I've always like the quote in your signature, I just found an engineering related one for mine that made me chuckle: An engineer is someone who is good with figures, but doesn't have the personality of an accountant. :)

  14. If your camera has a sport mode give that a go, that might speed everything up and counteract the shakes It will possibly up the ISO automatically to cope but not 100% on that.
  15. Interesting! Light railways with a decrepit air can be extremely atmoshperic, will be watching with interest. If you want some rather unkept grass might be worth trying to use some carpet underlay?
  16. Just seen your new avatar... there's a new forum, smile! ;)

  17. Oooh, light railway! I like them Looks like a great concept, and with the range of stock you have already it's beginning to remind me of the North Sunderland Railway! What is the plan scenically? Look forward to seeing more of this.
  18. Glad to hear there's another micro on the way, I enjoyed reading about Porth Byhan! What industry would it be set around? Minerals of some form presumably?
  19. Looks interesting, I like Scottish layouts. Was this on the old forum? Must have missed it if so. What Calmac vessel are you looking at modelling? I'm going for one of the REALLY old ones on my layout as it's going to be set in 1911, S.S. Hebrides.
  20. Very nice Markus! What will the scenics be like? I'm off to Skye next month for a week's holiday, should be nice and relaxing!
  21. Looks great! Is that one of the backscenes you can buy from International Models? Also, have you used carpet underlay for the grass? Looks like it, great stuff for creating a 'rural' unkept feeling.
  22. Welcome to the dark side!!
