Hi all Over the 28 and 29 December I will be building a model railway live on my YouTube channel www.youtube.com/c/trainsintheattic The rule I have set myself are this I bought and built 2 small bases board which there will be a video of me doing on my channel tomorrow night. When I was at warley I had a £40 budget to spend on new parts for the layout a video of this will be out tomorrow and I will post a link to it tomorrow night. I can use parts and kits I have had from before warley and scenery part I bought before as well. The live stream will be around 6 hours each day I a looking at starting around 9 in the morning and finishing around 3 in the afternoon. For me it has worked but you should always have one resistor per led Richard

Try disconnecting the battery when not in use or put a small switch on one of the battery leads Richard

I would say keep DCC sound separate from the rest of DCC as I find it different information a I not always want to know about the new sound someone had released but I do try to read the 2 DCC section. Richard

Hi all I thought that my video I have made for my youtube channel might be useful to someone one day just to give some background to the video I keep my main model railway in the attic and it is controlled by the ECoS after the hot weather I had a problem where the ECoS has lost it loco list so in the video I have shown how to restore the ECoS from a back up and also how to back up the esco so that other peopel don't make the same mistakes as I did and not back it up after the last time I made changed to it Richard Trains in The Attic

I have been a Traincontrol user but I did not use it for 2 version updates due to family issues and was told that I would need to pay almost the same as a full licences for the upgrade and why am I complain about it also it doesn't support the car system I am using for moving cars which has been promised so I am looking at Itrain which dose has UK support in the hands of DCC train Automation which is the UK Reseller of ITrain and offer classes on using it. I will say Train control is good software but I can't use my current DCC system with my version train control and looking at the cost of getting my self working again I think Itrain is the way to go for me. why not make some id cards with the loco photo on it the have a track diagram which you can put the cards on so you know where they are Richard
