Actually, id love to see how it looks as an ex works loco with a coat of Kleer - it really does wonders for the class 22.

and I haven't even opened the goody bag of 'bits' yet - that's normally my favourite bit The special 'Steam' packaging is lovely , and the lifting eyes on the roof are a marvel - (and boy am I glad they're pre fitted). Mines destined for yellow warning panels and some heavy weathering and worn paintwork , but I'm going to admire it as delivered for a little while first. Jon

Im so pleased I ordered (there were only 5 left when i ordered mine , so im amazed that its already turned up) - The buffers are fitted wonky and one end , and theres a very heavy moulded line down one corner of one cab , but its nothing that some modelling cant fix , and means ill have some more time in this lovely models company.

  24. A RTR class 122 and a Vitrains NSE 47 -what a great end to 2012!!

  25. I wonder, will it be possible to add a few more of the detail differences between the 121 and 122 that are not present on the N gauge versions - the 122s have a different handrail arrangement around the guards doors, plus shell vents rather than ridged domes. The latter is not so noticeable in N gauge , but much more so in 4mm. The more i look at the N gauge 122 , the cab roof shape has something of a 'class 101' look about it thats not right. It needs rounding off more towards the cantrail , but then made a litle more bulbous above this - if that makes sense?? Hopefully this can be looked at when scaled up. never ever thought id see the day we'd get a RTR 122 , in regional railways, my fave of all time - AND in N gauge and OO - what a brilliant year! Jon
