  1. Oh dear , how sad. Neither RB have made Q3 and Max has 2 stewards enquiries for blocking to be looked at to put him back further.
  2. VAR working as well as ever in the Man C Fulham game. Akanji standing in front of the goalie in a clearly offside position and jumps over the ball but evidently not interfering. Mike Dean in the Sky studio reckoned it was a thousand percent offside and it's hard to argue. It also took an age so who knows what they were watching.
  3. Commentator- how did Max undercut Sergio when Sergio was ahead and should have first choice over pitstops? Sergio on radio - how did Max undercut me? I think we all know the answer to that one 😉
  4. The new M7 is unique. The first updated model that is worse than the one it replaced. So many issues and so many questions as to how and why 😔
  5. The F1 will be interesting if it's as slippery as the current F2. No intermediate tyres, just slicks or full wet so they're trying on slicks. Even more fun was Vesti leaving the pits and reaching his first turn. On occasion a wheel hasn't been put on properly and comes off but to have both of your rear tyres overtake you!
  6. Judgement is the hardest area but sometimes it still seems like the only people arriving at the same decision is the ref and VAR with virtually everyone else disagreeing. The latest is the MacAllister red for Liverpool. No one thought it a red except the ref and VAR so Liverpool appeal and the red card was rescinded. It didn't effect the result but another example of VAR being at odds with everyone else and their bosses. The only bit of tech that has helped the game is goal line technology as it is based on fact. Even offsides comes down to where VAR decide to add their lines and what bit of a player counts. It's ruining the game for me.
  7. A few years in and I'm still not a fan of VAR or if it even works. Last night the Man Utd goalie jumped for the ball, missed it completely and wiped out the Wolves attacker, a stone wall penalty in seemingly everyone's eyes except the ref but never mind the VAR ref and VAR assistant are on call to rectify his mistake...... Nope, evidently not so it was down to the PGMOL to apologise to Wolves for the error but that doesn't award them a penalty and the chance of a last minute equaliser. It wastes time, no one knows what is going on, you can't celebrate goals and they still can't get easy decisions right.
  8. An interesting season for Eastbourne Borough in the Conference South lays ahead. Having just missed out on the play offs last season this years campaign sees a new owner, great plans and a full time professional squad. This could go one of 2 ways!
  9. I'm wondering if the ceiling for transfers fees will ever be reached as there seems no stopping the rich throwing more and more 0's around? Moises Caicedo - being a Brighton fan I've seen him play a number of times but £115m, really? He's certainly talented but he's only got 45 Premier League appearances under his belt since his debut April last year and I'd argue in over half of those he was ok at best. Anyhow Chelsea saw something and offered £60m, Brighton said £100m and he's yours and Chelsea said not a chance. A month later and after Liverpool offered £111m Chelsea get their man for £115m. I'm guessing negotiation isn't a strong area for Chelsea. Tony Bloom can't believe his luck, £111m profit in 2 years and Chelsea have now paid us £224m in the last year.
  10. What could possibly go wrong, especially when turning round!
  11. I know it's all about safety but Brundle summed it up well as the Sprint Qualifying was delayed yet again - "why do we have wet tyres?". He chose not to say any more. We're now on the 4th lap behind the safety car at the start of the sprint. It's a rolling start and 2 of the laps were formation, the other 2 racing but a 5th lap has just been declared as I type. They're on full wets but drivers are saying it's time for inters but it will be chaos if all 20 cars come in together to change. Spa is a great circuit but it brings back memories of the 2021 farce. The FIA are a shambles at the best of times but right now they seem unable to make a decision and stick to it. I feel for the sodden thousands sitting on grass banks waiting for something to happen.
  12. With his gearbox penalty he'll be starting 5th on the grid I expect and be leading by lap 3. I hope it rains to level things out a bit.
  13. The money being thrown around by the Saudis is becoming ridiculous. I know he's turned it down but offering the Fulham manager £40m for a 2 year contract was staggering but Al Hilal have just put a bid in for Mbappe of £259m! I'm guessing financial fair play rules don't apply to them.
  14. Another F1 borefest when the only bit of excitement was Lando breaking the winners trophy; Max won't care, he's plenty already! Great to see Lando with an ever improving car under him though.
  15. Great result for McLaren whilst the Merc upgrades still fail to deliver. Perez sabotaged again 😉
  16. What an appalling reply from Dapol. They couldn't have possibly checked it thoroughly as it clearly slopes forward and I have seen straight ones so saying they don't think they will get any better suggests they can't be bothered to look. As for claiming they have not had this ongoing problem with other customers who are they trying to kid? There are reports of the sloping issue all over the web and their own Digest. They even posted a possible solution to solve it which, unfortunately, doesn't appear to work. The revised M7 falls short in a number of areas, they are fully aware but appear to be trying to sweep them under the carpet and go into denial. It is a pity as an updated version showed so much promise.
  17. And F1 becomes even more of a farce. How can the stewards apply time penalties to some but not all for the same offence and it needed a protest from Aston Martin before they noticed that they'd missed a stack of them? If one driver is penalised for an infringement then all should, not just a random selection from the stewards. Whatever the rights or wrongs of track limits the stewards have to be consistent and as they have all the data to hand there is no excuse. 5 hours to admit they aren't fit for purpose and the whole result is recalculated. There is no sign of the shoddy stewardship improving, F1 is a boring shambles.
  18. Unfortunately not. It's been tried on another forum but there are numerous differences both front and rear.
  19. I would return it. It doesn't appear to be only a few models affected and issues aren't just limited to the sloping footplate or to just one livery but across all the new releases. On the Dapol Digest Joel confirmed all locos would be checked at Chirk and sloping footplates corrected by their "bending of their pick ups solution" before dispatch after the problems raised with the first releases but this evidently wasn't done or didn't solve things. As already mentioned this revised model has been a disappointment and possibly worse than the originals (except the original plastic handrails that warped). If people just put up with the poor QC Dapol can't learn for the future.
  20. Mine arrived this morning; LNER black, lined in red. Not exactly pre grouping Southern but a rule 1 purchase. Wow. Visibly excellent, virtually silent, very smooth running at all speeds (on DC) and a great price. Congratulations Sonic.
  21. Possibly the most interesting race of the season (not a lot of competition) with some overtaking even if only DRS assisted. Perez needs to track down Marko/Horner's auto destruct button they use in qualifying to ensure he doesn't get in the way of their golden boy.
  22. As we all know Monaco is a virtual guaranteed procession with race order only being affected by crashes or pit stops but at least you can rely on the F2 and F3 cars for overtaking or at least that used to be the case. Even the much smaller F3 cars just followed each other around and when Montoya had to complete nearly a full lap with his front wing at 45 degrees still no one could put a pass on him. Money is the only reason it is still on the calendar.
