  1. Thank you Dave, I am told the Monocacy App is much better on Apple than Android too, although after some connectivity issues on Android mine is now quite usable. I do hope these systems are compatible with each other like DCC is thanks to the AMRA? Being new to Bluetooth control, are there any other choice besides these Bluerail & Monocacy ?
  2. present ? Hi Nile They retail at £32 from the UK distributer, which is incredible value! I don't know if the Blurail App works with them, but I will have a look at downloading it & giving it a go Are Bluerail chips available at present?
  3. Anyone besides me using Monocacy Bluetooth chips? .........just fitted one to a 7mm Class 121 DMU .
  4. Charges last me all day + . On/off switch & mains charger. Wiring is easy for motor only & a bit more for lights etc .

  6. I had to nip up to my loft for some tools for the DMU wire up this morning,I have that tinfoil/bubble wrap insulation stuff which keeps the temperature down a bit,but much nicer in the garden though
  7. It is basically a Bluetooth chip similar to a R/C chip between the batteries & the motor which is then driven by a phone app on my mobile. The battery power is supplied by 9AAA cells
  8. A new form of traction was trialed today on the Withercombe branch, after spending the morning wiring it, this Westdale Class 121 DMU is now controlled by Bluetooth & is driven using my mobile phone

  15. Interesting stuff Hal, I have a Heljan 33 body & all the sprues to do a loco (I will scratchbuild the chassis) So watching your super detailing with great interest
