There are several copy's of this book for sale on E Bay, price range about eight quid to forty quid. Looking on E Bay "Bridges" also finds several other intersting similar tomes. -

Get yourself a copy of the late George Pryer's book "A Pictorial Record of Southern Signals" published by OPC. Several copys on E Bay for about fifteen quid including post etc. -

Here is another one of the late George Gregory's pictures, he was Springhead Shed Master and a keen photographer., He lived close to where I'm presentlt sat, I pass his former house daily, I recall my late mother commenting on his passing c1955. The attached is from H&BRly times, I can date it to post September 1913, the year the signal was errected. -
A look through my 1940 volume of The Model Railway News reveals both Nickel Silver and German Silver are used, German Silver as late as the December issuie.

The "Lost Stations" was done a few years ago, oweing to an error, "Level Crossing" became "Stations. -

I am oncemore doing my slide show "Hull's Level Crossings" Wednesday 29 May 2024. The venue is again The Carnegie Centre, Anlaby Road/Walton Street corner, plenty of free parking in West Park. Doors open 1000am for 1030am start, £3 entrance fee. All welcome. -
Mike, mine arrived an hour ago, another good issuie, and worth the extra few days wait.

No461, is a Class J74 ex NERly engine, and not H&BRly as stated, here is another view, this time at Sprinhead. -

Here is an interesting might have been, a c1914 proposal to buid a loop south of Springhead, it would have left the Main Line roughly at Wolferton Lane. -
