  1. I'd have thought the Gigha Ferry was really, really, REALLY big.
  2. The re-worked Goods Shed / Provender Store is taking shape.
  3. A new bridge kit from SMS and an LX291-00 Harbour steps kit will form the FY exit scenics.
  4. Looking forward to my first visit in many years, I'll be demonstrating the new Modulus system on the Scale Model Scenery stand A17 .
  5. Ballasting now in progress. @Captain Kernow - the ballast blends nicely with the Plastikote stone spray.
  6. @SouthernRegionSteam Thanks Jamie, that's a very positive endorsement of the system. It should be reasonably easy to set up - if you can fit solenoid or slow-action point motors, you can fit a servo. The huge benefit is you don't need to worry about layout to control panel wiring, as there isn't any :)
  7. Hi Joseph, Was there anything specific you needed further clarification on? Stu
  8. Well, this didn't get finished for Carn Brea, as I got side-tracked into building this layout for Warley instead, but, Newham will be at the Helston show in Pool Academy next April, then at the Member's Day in Taunton, and then at the Hayle show in May. I'll be using this system for operational control:
  9. Modulus Control System Pre-Ordering is now open:

  10. Let's start with the auto-correct feature on a smart phone. it can't predict what I'm thinking, but tries to and thus makes no sense in the sentence, making me look an idiot. What's the worst invention in your opinion?
  11. Have almost added a wagon turntable. All the rails have been cut and glued, just needs fixing in position and the servo mechanics connected.
  12. "Over the Severn Bridge". Which I always feel is rather a South Walian response. To me, it would be "Follow the A55 south of Chester and keep going", but I guess that's not as snappy. (And that's Chester, Cheshire, not Chester, South Carolina. Just to be clear.)
  13. "The solution with rucksacks is to carry them using the top loop, designed for the job, when around other people. Not difficult. " Sorry, I was a little reactive there, just I get somewhat annoyed when everyone thinks carrying a rucksack in one hand is the only solution.
  14. So you try taking two young lads, one who is autistic, to a show and not hold both their hands, but also carry very specific food & drink that has to be in a certain container. Really p's me off that some people are so bl**dy intolerant.
  15. Strange to see the subject of screen wall blocks appear, I have been discussing with Justin at Scale Model Scenery how best to replicate these in 4mm scale. As you all have mentioned, there were everywhere, so it seems appropriate a model version should be available.
  16. Trains can now run on the layout which is under Modulus control.
