    One of my local freebie rags this week had a headline story about a Darby and Joan club row that had resulted in one of the members being banned. It reminded me why I don't usually bother to read them.

    Some railway cars that were allocated to my late father, based in Gloucester: Ford Cortina (blue) 870 GYK (I think this was originally a pool car, because he was too tall for the allocated car: a mini) Vauxhall Viva (light blue) YMT 329H Vauxhall Viva (white) TLX 646M Ford Escort (butterscotch) ??? ???S I think the numbers are right, but I'm dredging up memories from over 30 years ago!

    That's a thought. I'll look out for them next time I'm at a show. I'd be interested to see that; I remember it as a derelict site. Are there any photograph's on the web?

    As Il Grifone says, they do come up on Ebay. I've acquired a couple, one of which I'm in the process of building. The sides seem slightly bowed inwards, so will presumably required reinforcing; the kit has no floor. I might try Coopercraft American bogies on the second; they made a huge difference to the running of a K's Siphon F. (Sorry for the tangent)

    Yup, me too. Looks as thought it's going to be an expensive year with this and the 28xx. And the clerestories in the GWR 175 train pack look rather interesting. Have they been done in fully lined garter crest before? Maybe some nice dealer would split the set.
