I trust you'll be OK on Sunday. Treat today as a rest day. We'll come out and show support tomorrow.

Alex, thanks! I will need it! Neil

  2. No doubt one is playing lookout whilst the other is sussing out if a cask will fit in the back of a moggy thou! More likely the rascals are trying to blag a cabby, they always do! (my most recent was Wednesday, Wickham Trolley, Okehampton! Lovely!!). There's another delivery waiting here, a right Royal brew it is to. (Kates Korset Kruncher, needs a steady hand tho!). Just need to get over all this Bank Holiday madness so we can actually get to the Post Office! I wonder if our colleague is using the crane for support, having mopped up some ullage and partaken thereof!
  3. Pugs, thats a pretty impressive shot. I would say the crane cab looks more like reflected light to me, though I see what Jim means. Horses for courses.
  4. Awwww the suns gone in for a mo! The barrel contained one of our famous 'bowel loosener brews'! This one looks like it once contained Badgers Nadger XXX or possibly even the hyper potent Captain Kernows Ringbolt Blaster! Drink it at your peril, but never, NEVER if you have sneezey hay fever or a cough! Neil S, head of Brewing, Blackrat Breweries, Kernow.
  5. Great pics! I spent so much time chatting I didnt manage to take any! Neil
  6. Thanks Phil! Its a case of model follows real life, as alas this scene is now consigned to history, just like the real thing! 2nd June 1962, N class mogul runs into Carrick Road with a Milk train due for Waterloo. Think the coupling and lack of fish plates stands out!
  7. Not sure if these count...... A not quite so sunny day in another part of Cornwall.........
  8. Chris, get a bigger car! Top work there!
  9. We used to visit all sorts of places, and were encouraged to do so, particularly ones that carried a 'high profile'. Not sure if Liskeard/Largin/Lostwithiel Boxes etc were tho! Mind you, on nights (at 0300) it was a good thing as we all kept each other awake! Bit busier though when I went to Plimufff, but.................as Laira was on MY patch................... Well I cant give to much away can I!
  10. Chris, nice one tho dont forget the Police car parked near the box, shed etc especially at crib (meal) time! Hope The shows a goodun, cant make it which is a shame!
  11. Love it! Reminds me of my old patch in Plimufff! I recognised half a dozen characters at least! Tho I guarentee, model that sort of thing over here and no doubt someone would complain! In the meantime, we will stick to those lovely BLT's where all the social deprivation went on behind rose covered arbours!
  12. Cliches........whats that all about! People tend to model the nicer things in life! ...........................And why not????? So is it gritty realism or BLT's (no mayo ta) or TMD's? Where are all the toms hanging around the stations, wether thats 50's 70's 0r in the naughties? Modern image (hate that term) where are the burnt out cars, smack heads, doggers etc that are rarely modelled? The lovely sink estates, never see them do we? Alll this stuff is out there, I encounter it on a daily basis, but who would choose to replicate in on a model? Answers not on a postcard please etc................
  13. Standard scenes or cliches on layouts?..............................Its a bit like saying theres only 26 letters or 8 musical notes, its how you arrange them that matters! Something I have not seen modelled but it is a daily occurence...........A Stop Check (as we call them!). Bit different (to me anyway) Cliche? Perhaps, Different......Possibly .........but I like it so tough!
  14. Darreen, as we used to say in the R.M., take a make and mend for that effort! You have captured it to a T!
  15. Anzum! Oi rememburrrs fishin orf that way an oi cort nowt but a cold! Prupur anzum thur Chris, prupur anzum!
  16. Holiday over, back to work tomorrow, deep joy!

is now much better. I've forgotten what to do!

  17. Will miss RMWeb as offline for a whole week! :(

  18. Great progress, I love following threads like these, you have the makings of a top train set!
  19. Every now and again there comes a thread which makes you take stock of what you are doing and what you are trying to achieve. This is one of them. Superb, and a train hasn't even run on it yet!
  20. What materials will you use on the building and will the CAD be used ? Love the converted Salmon, great modelling!
