  1. Whens the next trip out in the layouts 'Home' county then?
  2. Chris, yes still out there doing my bit! Mainly deal with the aftermath now as involved in specialist collision investigation. I dont get to visit many of the 'sites' these days! I wonder if I am the only person to ride a BMW between par Docks and Fowey Harbour through the clay tunnel! There's still masses to do here, scenery, point rodding, few more trees etc and hopefully finished! I have kept the old scratch built buildings but have a bit of a prob now as every birthday its something from Skaledale or Scenecraft! Lovely! Beats socks and Brut 33 any time! AND..... how can you refuse a pressy from the children. Got a cuboard full, but at least you can rotate the 'stock'! I will try and do a few more pics. Thanks to all for the great comments, makes it worthwhile. When you see layouts like Trenegloss or Diesels in the Duchy you know you just have to try harder!
  3. Thanks all! Cant believe that about Treneglos, its one of my favourite layouts! Having seen it I nearly threw mine on the bonfire!! yyyyyyes the ACE still calls there, usually hauled by a Warship or a Baby Warship with the occasional West Country to! Will try and do a few more pics, including the new station area for the main terminus. Here's a pic of the 'east end'.......
  4. Thanks Mark! The new station is where the old dries used to be, the modern ones. The harbour was 'boxed in' and a new harbour and dries added. Again tho, this tended to limit operation so it was again boxed in and the track layout altered. The 'loop' now extends under a new road bridge, which you can see in the pic. This allows for a lot more versatillity in shunting etc the small yard. I need to try and fit some dries in somewhere tho, watch this space! The new shed, basically part Dapol (Airfix) and kitbashed, not quite there with it yet and may well start again. Hope every one likes what I have done or am attempting to do!
  5. Thought I would try being arty and do a black and white one!
  6. Thanks Padstow, glad to be of help! The harbours are still under there, just boxed in! The last one was built on a lightweight 'clip on' extension. Theres another at the main station with a new goods facillity, again a work in progress. Planning is already well under way for the new roundy roundy as well as a small welsh valleys plank, (with DCC Sound hopefully!).
  7. Having been more than inspired by the superb layouts on show here I have done a little bit of tweaking and bashing of my layout, Carrick Road. I have added a small new countryside station, built to serve the nearby estate and small village. The harbour has gone, due to the effects of over fishing and global warming! Oh, as have the dries! Must find a bit more room from somewhere! Attached are a few pics, not a photographer so you will have to cut me a bit of slack! it's still very much a work in progress................
  8. Love the traverser! Nice to be able to run 9 or 10 coach trains to! Looking forward to seeing the rest of the layout develop!
  9. Big isnt always beautiful! Thats a very nice layout in the making there and certainkly gives food for thought!
  10. love the Kingpic from today! had a great view at Saltash, anzum!

  11. He very nearly did only the price wasnt quite right!

Still here's hoping we can sort a dfeal on one of the others they have there!

  12. Excellent! really looking forward to seeing this one develop! Brill use of the garage, no excuse for anyone out there with a garage saying they dont have room for a layout now!!!
  13. Missed the boat?? Who has? If Hornby go on to produce one and sell it at say ??90ish then I would have one! Def! But...........??145 is a bit rich for me, especially as its a GWR liveried model. Good luck to those who buy it. But of anyoje else knocks one out for under ??100 in BR then I want 1 ta!
  14. I def recall them working thru Cornwall in the mid to late sixties so I can justify 2!! Whoo hoooo!! (The facrt that during the 60's I was in infants in Cardiff is irrelevant!).
  15. perhaps not quite in the same league as some, but here's another of my layout, suitably tweaked. Hope you enjoy it.
  16. Well,..... got the quote! Measured the layout room! So some serious thought being given to what happens next! Taken my present layout about as far as I can, so Carrick Marine just may well come to fruition! No Caledonian McBrayne but the West Cornwall Steam Navigation Co! And all because of this thread!
  17. BlackRat
