  1. Hi there, We might have one, but we're not sure yet! Work in progress. We will let you know and of course it will be shared here as well as our website, social media etc. Cheers, Fran
  2. Hi everyone, Patrick and I will be back on the road next weekend where we will be attending the DEMU Showcase event at the Green Bank Leisure Centre Civic Way, Swadlincote, South Derbyshire. As it is impractical to bring our big stand to the show we will be there in a smaller presence with a very limited amount of stock with us. However, we will be on hand to chat and we can take orders which can then be posted to you, either for in stock or pre-order items. We will also have a sample of our PFA wagon with us to show over the weekend. More info on the show: https://www.demu.org.uk/showcase/showcase-2019 We look forward to seeing you there for a chat! We will be next door to Revolution Trains and DC Kits. Cheers! Fran
  3. Hi Brian, Look out for an announcement on that later this year! Cheers, Fran
  4. Thanks Roy, I get you. I guess it was just a good opportunity to explain why we do what we do, as we do get asked about it from time to time. Cheers! Fran
  5. Hi Roy, Our limited edition Deltics are for sale through a traditional retailer, a museum and a preservation group, so we try to cater for everyone as best we can, and our other models are open to similar commission opportunities. However, we could not offer all the other models we do in our range at these prices if we put them all through retailer networks due to the margins required. Unfortunately we can’t please everyone all of the time. We want to offer high quality at respectable prices, and there is a large sector of the market who are price conscious and they want value for money. We get that and respect that and try to offer that. This is the best structure for us as a company, and judging by our sales stats our beliefs are being backed up by customers. It’s about making the best compromise. At the end of the day we are a manufacturer and an online retailer, just like the big online model shops. We understand that people want to touch and look before they buy, and they can do that too by visiting us at shows. They can also order online and send it back and get a full refund if they are not happy, as it is their statutory rights under consumer law. The only difference really is that it arrives to your home instead of having to make a trip out. It’s all about choice at the end of the day and we just offer a new one, and modellers are pleased to have yet another new option for models. Cheers! Fran
  6. One variant we have absolutely no trouble shifting so far is the Castle Cements. We prob should've made more if anything! Cheers, Fran
  7. Hi Mark, Still on track for late November, tooling still going on. Once there are no slip ups of any kind (shouldn't be!) we will stick to that course. As soon as we have news otherwise we will post it here as well as our website. We're getting more and more excited about it. We know stuff like the 92 has hogged the limelight a bit recently, but the Deltic has been progressing nicely in the background. Cheers! Fran
  8. Hi everyone, After running out of our Pack A pre TOPS pack of cemflos in double quick time, we ordered some more which have just arrived in stock! Our pre TOPS rake bundle is therefore open for orders again! More info here: https://accurascale.co.uk/collections/apcm-pcv-cemflo-powder-wagon/products/apcm-cemflo-pcv-powder-wagon-triple-pack-la202-la205-la208-pretops Cheers! Fran
  9. Hi everyone, Delighted to say we have got more stock of our PCAs in, including the sold out Pack J, so we can offer our Castle Cement rake deal once again! The demand for these has been huge, so we're glad we can keep up! https://accurascale.co.uk/collections/pca-bulk-cement-wagon/products/pca-bulk-cement-castle-cement-pack-j Cheers! Fran
  10. This is starting to have a wishlist whiff about it guys! (not that we mind, but you know, mods and all that...) Cheers! Fran
  11. For a minute there I thought one of my colleagues went rogue there and announced a 47. You frightened the life out of me for a moment there, Al! Cheers! Fran
  12. Hi everyone, We had a busy (but most enjoyable and productive!) day at Glasgow Traincare Centre (or Polmadie Depot as most of us know it!) surveying the Caledonian Sleeper Mark 5 stock with our good friends at Revolution Trains! Now the Class 92 is finished at the CAD stage and in China, we can turn our focus to the mammoth project that is the Mark 5. We have already surveyed and done a chunk of CAD on the TPE stock, but the sleeper stock was the final piece of the puzzle, until today. Now that we have the final pieces of data we require for the sleeper stock, we can crack on with the 3D CAD work. We have a lot of this information already, but it was great to be able to validate measurements and drawing information, as this can alter a great deal between design and manufacture of the real thing. We never truly trust manufacturers drawings! The new stock is certainly impressive, and will lend itself as very nice subject matter in model form. We like our detail after all, and these coaches will be dripping with it when they hit your layouts early in 2020. We would like to extend a sincere thanks for the staff at Caledonian Sleeper and CAF for facilitating us today, and of course our customers who have supported us with all your pre-orders. We thought these coaches would be popular, but my word not this popular! You can order from our website if you wish to join in! https://accurascale.co.uk/collections/mark-5-coaches Cheers, Fran
  13. Hi Jools, Deltic is still tooling. It takes a number of months to tool a loco, but work is continuing and we will share more news once we have it from China. Cheers! Fran
  14. We are investigating it. That's all I can say at the moment. Cheers! Fran
  15. Hi Michael, As they are RP25.110 they will be a bit too tight as you find, we recommend RP25.88s for EM which should just drop in. A bit of sanding down of the collars will also help. Cheers! Fran
  16. Wow, that looks excellent, well done! We really do love seeing personalisation of the models we make. Any chance we can lash it on our Facebook page with credit to you? Cheers, Fran
  17. Cheers! As we aren’t a crowdfunder, we will have stock when they arrive for a while, and of course we will do reruns too, so you’ll have plenty of opportunity! Don’t forget our flexible terms too. Cheers! Fran
  18. Hi there, I can confirm we have received a nice few orders for our Class 92 this evening, which is great to see. We’ve put a lot into her, so we’re delighted that it’s being so well received. Cheers! Fran
  19. Hi everyone, This is absolutely correct. We have done our own CAD from scratch for the Class 92, and see no legal precedents that can stop us doing a model of this (or indeed any other) locomotive or item of rolling stock. Legal precedents would show quite the opposite. Anyway, it’s in tooling so can’t be stopped now. Our 92 won’t be affected by this. Obviously we will not look to comment further on the matters of another manufacturer, other than to reassure everyone that our 92 will be a reality in the next 12 months and is going to be the best model of this locomotive in 4mm, of that we are confident. Cheers, Fran
  20. Dang, that is not helping my temptation about getting the large logo 66 from Hattons when they appear....
  21. It’s very difficult to do but we may have a cunning plan. I can say no more at the moment.... Cheers! Fran
  22. Cheers man, the roof is where the detail is at on the 92 and since we spend most of our time looking down on our models it was critical to get it spot on and go to town on it. That's not to say we haven't gone to town on the rest of the loco. We have, but what has gone before just hasn't cut it roof wise, so it was essential we do it justice! There is plenty of detail around the bogies and battery boxes etc too. Of course, we also had to do the new Dellner fitted 92s to go with our Mark 5s, fully modified bufferbeam as per the correct locos of course. Cheers! Fran
  23. Thanks for the feedback everyone, we’re quite excited about how it is shaping up! Cheers! Fran
  24. Hi mate, Tape measure, a billion photos taken on the roof, and some serious health and safety procedures as well as invaluable assistance from a man who works on these machines every day. We always find a way in the end! Cheers, Fran
  25. Hi everyone, We are delighted to announce that the CAD for the Class 92 is complete and has now gone to China for tooling. We are on course with our envisaged release date of Q1 2020 now that tooling has begun. We also have an intriguing solution for the pantograph but for obvious reasons we wont be going into detail on it until much later in the life-cycle of the project (competitors heads over your shoulder, etc.) Here are some renders of the CAD, and we will of course keep you up to speed with progress once we get news from the east! Cheers! Fran
