  1. Can you email us with your order number to info@accurascale.co.uk so we can check? Cheers! Fran
  2. How big is the garage? Handy with a tape gun and bubble wrap? We can help move the booze for you, no bother at all!
  3. Hi everyone, Here's a sneak peek at our pan for the 92. This as you can see has been slimmed down to a more prototypical appearance than initial CAD renders and shows the level of detail we are going to. It's still a work in progress with additional bits still to be added, but should give you an idea of what level of detail is going into the roof. We should have more sneak peeks of that in the coming days! Cheers, Fran
  4. You should see the other photo he sent me by text...
  5. That’s not your official company photo Tony??
  6. That’s the opening credits for Eastenders isn’t it??
  7. No sooner had we finished packing up the PCV Cemflo orders (there were many, many preorders and took longer than expected!) did we hear from China that the PCAs will be with us here in 2 weeks time. So, they will be with customers the week after! Hopefully this 'cements' our reputation in the British market somewhat.... (sorry!)
  8. Thanks Noel. But was the very end of October 'over a year ago'?? Not by my calendar. Delays can happen, and are regrettable, but whilst an inconvenience to the modeller, they are an even bigger pain and an expensive cost to the manufacturer. Cheers! Fran
  9. Well, nobody has guessed it so far, so here is another clue! We're so nice like that. All I will reinforce is that it is an item of rolling stock that is not powered, but it has been used to help power many others... Find out on stand 62, where we will have a very ropey 3D print (sample not quite ready in time, BOO!!) and on here at 9:30 this Saturday! Pre-ordering will also be opened! In other news, we will have O and OO HUOs as well as OO cemflos for sale on the stand in very limited quantities. So, dont miss out on them if you intend to get some. Also, we can take pre-orders on our new announcement, Deltics, PCAs, 92s, Mark 5s etc at the show if you rather do that in person than online! I wont be there myself sadly but Patrick and team will look after you. Revolution trains will also be on our stand with a representative so you can chat to them about all things N gauge. Cheers! Fran
  10. Scotch?! Not a hope! The correct answer is red breast. haha Back to the grind! Cheers, Fran
  11. Just finished typing up the press release for our latest model announcement this weekend. Let's hope nobody breaks the embargo this time....

Doubtless Hornby will claim it as one of theirs, so you have 8 months to bring this one to market - just in time for Christmas :)

Luckily this is out a bit sooner than 8 months time! :)

I think your embargo is still safe as you did say this one isn't a loco but perhaps there is someone else maybe hoping to make an announcement, a well known retailer has dropped an image of a loco somewhere on their webpage which goes to a wishlist.

  12. Hi John, It means raising and lowering, not power through them. Cheers, Fran
  13. Hi there, Sorry, this is not correct. Once the tooling is made it is the same difficulty squirting plastic into an existing tooling as it is a brand new one; relatively straightforward. The reason a brand new model is more expensive is due to the need to recoup the initial outlay for tooling and the higher labour costs for assembling a more intricate model. Older models (think pre China design) have significantly less separate parts and tooling has been well paid off, and as a result are much less expensive to produce. There is no difficulty in production due to the tooling being older. Hope this helps. Cheers, Fran
  14. I think our reward will be black with a nice creamy head! Haha
  15. For the day that’s in it, 55001 at York. Happy St. Patrick’s Day everyone! (Pic by Geoff Dowling via Flickr.)
  16. Hi everyone, Firstly, there is no problem at all asking questions about our current or future models we have announced, in fact we welcome these questions and will always do our best to answer them where we can. It’s not just about delivery of a sales pitch, though I can understand how cynicism can creep in having seen the carry on of some other manufacturers in recent times. This cynicism is part of our motivation to interact with modellers on RMWeb and to get involved in the British market in the first place, as we had enough of the carry on too. We like to be transparent and up front and that’s all Stephen was doing with the enthusiasm we carry as at the end of the day; we’re modellers too and we’re very excited at what we are doing. Now Al, to answer your queries as best I can. I will not speak about any other companies Class 92s in the interest of respect. All I can do is comment about our own one. Our 92 will be dripping with detail in the roof area (as well as elsewhere), we were rather lucky in this age of H&S gain access to the roof and faithfully measure, document and survey the all roof elements and pantographs. We have surveyed two locos for completeness and have almost 1,000 photographs from these surveys. We have worked with the likes of Brush and GBRf. What’s more, we will be using a combination of lots of etched and separate parts to detail the roof as it is a critical area. We are currently adding finesse to the CAD work in this area (the final bit to be completed) and will gladly show it to the world when it is fully finished within the next two weeks so then you will be able to make your mind up how you feel about it, but we are about pushing this hobby forward, we simply aren’t putting our name to something half baked. It’s just not our style. You can check out our Deltic update from earlier this week to see the level we work towards. Our new cemflo s have over 100 parts per wagon, to do the roof of the 92 as a one piece lump just is not our style. At the end of the day, you have a choice, and as a consumer that is the perfect world. Just remember that Accurascale is not a crowdfunder (not directed at anyone in particular, just some guys seem to think we are) and this 92 will happen, no matter what. You can place an order with a deposit with us, but if you change your mind further down the line, that’s okay too, we will happily refund. We will have stock too so you can always wait if you prefer. Oh and yes, we are looking at turned brass for the horns. Hope this helps! Cheers, Fran
  17. Hi everyone, Wow, the orders have been flooding in since we announced that they are in stock, so much so we’re beginning to wonder if we made enough of the pre-TOPS variants. Hope we have enough for the show next weekend! Busy week ahead! Cheers, Fran
  18. QC checks are great fun! Should be completed by tomorrow and shipping will commence on Tuesday (bank holiday here on Monday, god bless Class 55 001! Cheers! Fran
  19. They’re currently in customs... Minute by minute updates, flight tracking info etc etc. What other manufacturer goes to this length? That OO manufacturer of the year award for 2019 is surely in the bag?? Hahaha Cheers, Fran
  20. Well, not everyone likes Deltics, but are interested in how we do things. So, while this report was about a Deltic, it is an insight into how we intend to do all our locomotives such as the class 92. Personally, I can't believe people wouldnt be interested in Deltics either, but we're a broad church etc. etc. HTH Fran
