  4. is stressed because i cant find a track plan i want, the ones i like are too big and cant make them smaller. Where to get ideas from??? :(

      Don't be stressed about a hobby - it's not worth it. The late Carl Arendt's site (www.carendt.us) is a good source of small plans.

  6. i do not get layouts in mags , when you read they did not build it , but got it built by someone , whats the point?

      It's not *that* different to a club layout, where perhaps you make the locos and stock but other members do the woodwork/wiring/scenery/etc.

  8. Just been shown the mess left when my friends moved into their new house - to find that all the copper pipes, electrical cable, radiators and even boiler had been stolen by scumbags. It isn't just railways being hit by metal thefts.

  9. is starting to have concern on the lack of progress on my 2011 challenge entry...2 weeks have passed without a mojo reviver...

  10. Spent the evening weathering with enamels. OK, so it was only track and ballast for a scenic plank... but I'd forgotten how much fun and free it is... I've missed it and now want to do more. Shame its so smelly on clean up ;-)

  11. Spent the evening weathering brick printed paper with charcoal and found that it was as messy as I should have expected it to be... now relaxing waiting to watch "Campus" on channel 4 - new series from the makers of "Green Wing"... fingers crossed - we could do with a comedy of GW's caliber
