  2. Nice one Michael Interesting mix of power! Look forwards to seeing progress Happy Xmas and thanks for all your efforts in keeping other threads supplied with excellent photo links Phil
  3. Hi Ralph Phase 2 will reveal all - now I have got to grips with software! That link - plus the apparently disjointed high level track - will meet at Norton junction and form part of a separate high level loop representing the OWW - Worcester to Oford line. Cheers Phil
  4. A few folks have asked to see a track plan Having played with several packages have settled on Anyrail - heres the result Its still pretty rough and ready but you'll get the drift 12 x 10 ft Phase 2 to follow! Cheers Phil
  5. Welcome Mark Look forwards to seeing the end result - has always been a loco I liked! Cheers Phil
  6. Hee hee beat me to it! Refers to Bill Bedford etch - following that trail leads to http://www.mousa.biz/ Cheers Phil
  7. Just in the final stages of shoehorning the body back on - managed to avoid chassis milling by modding the bass reflex speaker box to fit and shortening the PCB - had to sacrifice lighting but not worried about that Yup will post once finished Phil
  8. Awesome shot of D336 And PMP that's a cracking job on those locos - time to stop procrastinating and add that job on D308 and D373 to the Xmas jobs list. Thanks both Phil
  9. Have looked at adding that pipe on the originals Has anyone done the job successfully please? Phil
  10. Nice 1st vehicle looks like Thompson 6 wheeler mentioned in bacchy wish list thread - a nice production cue here perhaps? Phil
  11. Apols Marcus - missed this post till now As you say - a great bunch of blokes. And there are probably more long distance trains form Worcester to south coast locations than ever before. Going north is a different kettle of fish however. Not sure how far the Worcester men go however Cheers Phil
  12. My good friend Andy Locke was at Abbotswood this morning to record the passage of D1015 Cracking shot cheers Andy Phil
  13. Looks like the Hornby LMS CCT has arrived at Hattons and Rails Cue more variety in the ramshackle rake! Phil
  14. Headcodes do look much better inside the glazing - and if you cut them to size, lay a strip of sellotape down sticky side up and stick them on that, facing upwards, then trim the tape to just over size the rim of sticky will hold them well in place Well worth the hassle - and worth fitting crew too while you have the cab apart, their absence is conspicuous behind those big picture windows! Cheers Phil
  15. Hi SE That'll be 3V01 In the late 60s arrived at Worcester at about 06.45 on a Sat AM At its most ridiculous D373 was on a single 12t van! Cheers Phil
  16. Those excellent gentlemen at Narrow Planet have done some super etched signalbox name boards for Abbotswood to replace the current printed ones No connection other than one very happy customer! Will post some more when painted and attached to signalbox Cheers Phil
  17. D211 and 40141 now showing as due in next 60 days on Bachmann web site Phil
  18. Just a couple of other points (pardon the pun) to consider If polarity switching is linked to the entry/exit point of your reversing loop you cant change that point - and hence the polarity of your switched section - until the tail of your train has cleared the point. Only a problem if running long trains through a short loop and not a problem with solid state switching if point is controlled independently. And your switched section needs to be able to accommodate comfortably your longest traction unit - individual locos probably not an issue but a 4 car unit might be if 2 motors with pick uos at both ends which are connected through the unit - rare I suspect but applies to both solid state and manual switching Cheers Phil
  19. That's not this one Mike? http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5088/5359150911_b9984f804c_z.jpg Or this one http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=spv+parcels+van&FORM=HDRSC2#view=detail&id=6D3E158D62B780DF7467C24D7638D48ABF69135D&selectedIndex=12 Does that help? Cheers Phil
  20. That's a new one on me but yes am sure that will do what you want http://www.ppw-aline.com/Blue_Point_Manual_Turnout_Control.htm Cheers Phil
  21. Hi Harry Yes PL15 switch is designed to fit on to PL10 point motor. And no cant use mono frog juicer as you need to switch two channels (one for each rail) If you are really looking for the cheapest option switch the loop section manually with a DPDT switch Cheers Phil
  22. Suzie is indeed correct But for automatic operation solid state is always more reliable than electro-mechanical As a very happy user of frog juicers if you decide to go solid state you wont go wrong with the Tam Valley product http://www.digitrains.co.uk/ecommerce/dcc-accessories/auto-reversers/DFJ003U-dual-frog-juicer-universal.aspx Hope you get sorted! Phil
