That little signal looks gorgeous! Is it worked by a servo?

Hi Fellas,
I wish I could claim the MMP 58 was my work. Sadly it would be well beyond my capabilities! It was picked up 95% finished from ebay at £300 from a chap near Ludlow who'd made a splendid job on the construction.
It was then painted and completed by Peter Clark (Models) who did a fantastic job. One of my fave locos.

Cheers. Literally had about 3-4 mins before the sun moved round and the t/table was in shade.

I was hoping you had some non hazardous solution !!
Have you also noticed if you use it to stick clear plasic glazing the CA fumes react with fingerprints, leaving a clean window with a white finger print in the middle 10 mins after !!! Very annoying can see why they use CA fumes on CSI !!!
John
I wish! Even epoxy doesn't stick too well . The only other stuff that works is Evo-stick but that is always a bit "boingy" even when it's set. Might try "Gripfil" or No-Nails if things get too bad.
As far as superglue and windows are concerned--"Never the twain shall meet" is the golden rule I think.
Evo-stick for a strong joint on windows or double sided sticky tape if you have a nice flat surface behind the window.

What are you using to glue together?
Zap CA or Zap-A-gap superglue. Seems to be holding firm at the moment. I have previously had some Foamex material that took Plastic Weld but this stuff won't have it!

The wall looks great, reminds me of Tetley Mills. This is the first time i've seen your posts but i'll certainly be keeping a lookout for more updates, keep up the good work!
Cheers, Richard
Ta Richard, Tetley's Mills was definately a bit of inspiration but my fave layouts for nicking getting ideas from are Heyside (7mm) and Wibdenshaw (EM gauge I think) both industrial masterpieces.

Not looking forward to linking it up though. Big job.

Looks nice. Where is the backscene a picture of?
Thanks,
I think it's somewhere between Dolgelly and Barmouth, before it reaches the Mawddach estuary, but don't quote me on that. It was from a pile of photo backscene "seconds" found by one of Steve's mates on a stall at a Dolls House swapmeet!

It's still a bit "fluid" at the moment and I've held off from drawing out a track plan while Steves still laying track but I'll have a go at drawing a plan of what we've got so far. Meanwhile, I'll be posting a picture of a couple of control panels soon so keep watching
Hopefully I'll be able to install a couple of your wonderful colour light signals we rescued from Talacre. (And one I bought from you via ebay but have yet to use! )
Cheers

Cheers John!
We're well ahead now, I'm just slowly feeding in the pics and bringing it all up to date. Should be there in a week or so

Hi Roger...John,
As long as the site doesn't crash altogether I'll do my best to bring the Saltney Railway progress up to date

Hi Jon, look forward to seeing the progress on this. I have seen pics of Talacre before and was very impressed. If its half as good as that it will be great.
Rob
Cheers Rob, I'll have to learn how to work this blog properly, then there'll be plenty of pics to see!

Thanks All .
Good point about the footbridge. I think Steve just plonked it there to see if a bridge looked ok. I think if he can find a bit more of the horizontal bridge parts, a proper vertical support at the signal box end with steps descending in line with the wall would be better. Somewhere in the bits box there is a scratchbuilt footbridge with a waterpipe along the side similar to Hoole Lane at Chester which would do the job.
Cheers
Jon.
