  1. Yes, bit worried by that one. He did well in Portugal but rumour (again) has it that the old guard at Chelski refused to play the way he wanted. Probably be the same at Spurs except the old guard will have gone by then. Dont know who i want, give Clive Allen a go, at least he has the club at heart..
  2. Strong rumour at the moment is Levy offered Harry an improved contract when the England job became available. 'Arry' refused it and said he would be interested in England job. When Roy Hodgson got the job he approached Levy for the new contract. By then Spurs ( as usual ) had gone t*ts up. Levy only offered 1 year rolling contact, 'Arry' didn't accept. Who Knows, i guess there is always 2 sides to a story.
  3. Talking of Peter Hitchens, he's on Question Time at the moment. What a lovely man,
  4. Couldn.t agree more, I think its time we, as Spurs fans, sacked Levy. Damn we can't, he co owns the club with Joe Lewis.
  5. So, our 'Arry' has gone. As a Spurs fan i'm gutted, the football over the last 3 seasons has been entertaining, and he saved us from relegation the year he took over from that walking disaster Ramos. I suppose the team imploding in the last third of the season and throwing away a 10 point lead over Arsenal hasn't helped him, plus Chelski's unlikely win of the CL took away our own CL place. It is widely reported that Levy was furious and he and Arry fell out over it. So, who now Moyes ? been too long at Everton, Martinez ? well he'd probably keep us up. Who else ? i just don't know. Its the usual 2 steps forward 2 back that seems to afflict this club. They need to stick with one manager Like Arsenal and United then and only then will real success come. Off to drown my sorrows...
  6. Spent the day at Tamworth yesterday watching Class 20s pulling the new LT Stock

  7. UNBELIEVABLE...£67 for a rolled up piece of scrap paper...Now wheres my A4 notepad.
  8. Just seen on TV that Gary Cahill is ruled out of Euro 2012 as he has a fractured jaw. Many thanks to the Belgian Burke. Is it realy worth playing these friendlies just before a Major competition ?
  9. But just think how exciting it would be. Plenty of goals for all.
  10. Anyone see Panorama tonight ? The racism in Poland and Ukraine is an absolute disgrace. I can honestly see games in the Euro 2012 being abandoned, should never have been awarded to these 2 countries.
  11. Why not keep playing till someone scores, they must do in the end. Would be a good excuse to give the wife if your late home from the pub. ' sorry darling but they played 4 hours extra time'
  12. Saw this layout in the 'flesh' this morning at Railex. Absolutely fantastic. Looks even better live than it does in this thread. Well done.....Peter
  13. Back from Railex - Very good show

Tell me about the christmas catlogs I've been delivering them all week.

  16. The last time this happened Everton finished 4th and Liverpool who won the CL finished 5th all 5 were let in that year on the understanding that if it happened again 4th would drop out. Absolutely gutted as we have played well MOST of the season. Drogba's winning penalty has cost Spurs about £25 million in receipts. Oh well this is typical Tottenham. Would like to say well done Chelsea - but can't at the moment, maybe in a week or two...
  17. Bit off topic, but went to see him in Blackpool many years ago, Over ran his time by about 1 hour. Very good comedian. Would do well at Liverpool.
  18. Surely Hornby, who knew of this problem a couple of years ago, should have worked out that a lot of complaints would come in. Therefore should have ordered more replacement chassis some time ago. Without repeating myself, i contacted Hornby over a year ago, if they can't get adequate chassis in that time then perhaps they should look at their supplier. Most companies moved production to China to keep costs down and therefore keep prices down over here. Dont see much of that as Hornby RRPs are higher than most. Maybe they should have kept production at Margate.
  19. Yes, i do think their attitude is unreasonable. The 31 has been out of service for over a year now. I was constantly fobbed off in the early days and am now being offered something i dont want. The day my 31 is to be 'fixed' keeps being put back. Just supposing i had bought a Black car from new, because i wanted one of those. The chassis corroded and snaped, A year later the manufacturer offers me one in yellow or red. I would not be happy. OK maybe a car isn't the best choice of comparison but it illustrates my point. I was going to ask if maybe they had a blue 31 or maybe a railfreight ( obviously not a sound one) and if not a railfreight 56, which is approx the same retail price. BUT the receptionist didn't even give me a chance to specify my alternatives as i was told, on giving my details, what was my choice of the 2 offered. I asked if there was any alternative, only to be told if i didnt want one of those 2 then i would have to wait for repair. Sorry but i dont think what i intended to ask for was unreasonable.
  20. I have had a letter as well. Dont want either as the Network Rail version is later than the period i model, and the Regional one i just personaly dont like. Rang this morning to see if i could negotiate a different one OR something else. Fat chance. I was told bluntly that was the ONLY offer, take it or leave it. NOT impressed with Hornby's customer relations. They don't appear to realy care and i am now totaly p****d off with them. Some may think i'm unfair as they have offered an alternative, but i just dont want them. I had a dealing with Bachmann a few weeks ago and they couldn't have been more helpfull. I know where i shall spend my money in future.
  21. Put your money on Fabio Cappello. He wants to coach in the premier league. Would be ironic considering Hodgson was there a year or so ago.
  22. Just been running trains for 2 hours - sheer bliss.

  23. Just dont fancy seeing Terry lifting the Cup, and evidently he is allowed to.
  24. Ah well, you see its tradition at White Hart Lane to make it as diificult for ones self as possible. Part of the club ethos, grab failure from the teeth of glory. I guess 4th isn't failure in most peoples eyes, but it could/ should have been much better. Many managers have come and gone but the tradition stays the same. I realy dont know what it would take to be realy succesful, maybe if Abramovich had bought Spurs instead of Chelsea as he intended to do then his money would have worked.
