We just wanted to wish our customers and everyone who has supported us over the past year, a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

It was great to get back to a few shows at the back end of this year, we’re hoping that will continue into 2022, so we can get back to meeting customers face to face on a more regular basis.

The second run of our popular BBA steel carriers have arrived!

Since arriving yesterday morning, we’ve undertaken a stock take and our quality control checks are well underway. All being well the wagons will be with retailers by the weekend/early next week - thanks again to our customers for their support with this project.

BBA Second Production run - the wagons are now on UK soil after docking last week. They’re currently at the port awaiting clearance so we’re hoping to have them imminently. We will provide further updates as soon as we have the wagons and our final QC checks have been undertaken.

  4. Good morning,

Thank you to all those involved in organising The Great Electric Train Show last weekend, this was the first show that we had attended for over 18 months and it was great to be back.

Certainly to us it felt busy and good to see the hobby starting to return to some sort of normality.

Meeting people face to face and talking about modelling made you realise just how much we have missed shows.

Thank you to everyone that took the time to visit our stand and say hello. We had a very enjoyable weekend.

Good morning Eric, it was nice to meet you too, thanks for the photos of Harefield . We are very pleased that you like the KBA barrier wagons.

I was a little worried that we would never see it again.....

    Evening all,

I seem to remember there being some discussion on whether these will go round 2nd radius curves. Do we know if that is the case yet please?

    Good afternoon IRC,

The model has been designed to run with third radius curves, however, it may negotiate second radius curves, but we cannot confirm that yet. There is a wealth of detail on the bogies and underframe which potentially could snag whilst operating on second radius curves.
This is something we can advise on in the future once the first samples have been tested.

Wow, didn’t see that one coming, so I’ll definitely be ordering one.  Can I ask, will the nameplate be coming as separate item or will it be attached to the model?  I’d like to try and model it as it was in June 2019, without the nameplate, as per the pictures.

If you do another run later on, DCR 56103 would be great as they were usually found working together.

    Good morning Jools1959,

The nameplates will be supplied in the box as a separate item. Just for information, we also do not plan to print the nameplates on either.

    Hope that helps.

  10. Good evening JR_P, thank you for your message and feedback.

We are glad to hear that you are pleased to see our N PGA project move forward.

Regarding the protection panels, the configuration that you mention, protection panels with ladders and walkways, in Lafarge livery did not seem that popular a choice when we previously offered the PGA in N.
What we are currently offering is the most common configuration for that livery, ladders and walkways but without protection panels. Whilst some examples did continue with protection panels fitted in this particular livery, from research conducted it seems that more ran without the protection panels. This is why we are offering this particular configuration to cover the more common wagon configuration.

Here are a few links to Flickr which I thought might be useful:

We will certainly discuss the protection panels and the Lafarge livery with Rails of Sheffield as a suggestion for future production runs.

    Many Thanks.

Great news! Really pleased to see these resurrected.

For the thick/lazy amongst us which were the latest versions - I presume the Lafarge then the blanked out and white ones?

    Cheers Mike

    Thanks Mike.

Yes you are correct, Lafarge, white with patch and then plain white.

Thanks again to you and Ben for your support. It is much appreciated.

We have contacted all customers regarding the second payments for our forthcoming TEA wagons ahead of production starting next month. If you have not heard from us or have any questions please let us know.

We are still open for new pre-orders via our website below, however this will close once production commences, with our retailers stocking the TEAs when they arrive in the UK.

@Grimleygrid when should we be expecting them to hit the shops? I've already got mine pre-ordered so looking forward to getting them!

Thank you Chris, we are also very excited about the second run, especially the new liveries.

Feedback has been fed back to the factory and production is well underway. Unfortunately, we cannot say for certain when they will be here, however, once production has been completed, we will provide a further update and estimated delivery. This is all dependant on the factory, Covid and shipping.

    Hope that helps.
