  1. Now available on 'Google', and they've corrected their opening times as well. I'll be in Kent at the end of July, so will ask permission to drop in and buy something have a browse
  2. Thanks for the link to the website, not sure why I couldn't find it via Google Under the "About us" dropdown, it states: '................We are open Monday to Saturday 9-5.30, closed Wednesday, Saturday and Public Holidays'
  3. Do they have a website - I can't find one on Google?
  4. Including this Olive Green one for £249.99
  5. Interesting description - Lima Fits Hornby 00 Intercity 125 HST Mk2 Guard Coach!! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lima-Fits-Hornby-00-Intercity-125-HST-Mk2-Guard-Coach-/281068881555?pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item417102c693
  6. According to the latest newsletter from Kernow, Hornby are now making an "A" version of the SR Olive Green 2BIL, R3161A, expected in June, as well as the BR Green version, R3162A.
  7. Just popped home to look at these - pictures not working where I am now but I can see them at home - excellent!! Just need to find some photos of prototype trains to see what goes with what. I wonder what 'Modelzone' will make of this, bearing in mind their history of RTC and Engineers yellow departmental vehicles - is Bachmann doing these themselves a threat to them, or will it complement them?
  8. Who is to say which is the dullest - lots of different classes all painted one colour, or one class painted lots of colours? I started spotting in 1977 when I went to secondary school. From the classroom window I could watch class 25s on the Coventry - Nuneaton line. Family holidays always involved a trip to the station nearest to where we were staying. For me, its what I grew up with. Which I why I still listen to Siouxsie & the Banshees and Blondie.
  9. Is the Covcar/CCT you mention the one modelled by Wrenn and now Dapol?
  10. I've just tried to order some and the website fails at the final hurdle - is this an indication of how many orders are being placed? Will try again tomorrow. Order successfully placed
  11. I remember when James May bought a 'collectors item' (some old Tri-ang?) and then played with it and threw away the box! :D
  12. Ah, but then what would collectors, for some of whom the box can be more valuable than the contents  , do?
  13. What are you missing - well this of course - BEAUTIFUL, FULLY ASSEMBLED LOCOMOTIVE :D Motorised engine :D
  14. has not set their status

  15. Looking at both the Hornby website and Hattons, there appears to be only 3 different 12-wheel bodyshells available as single items and in train & coach packs - Brake, 1st Kitchen and 3rd Parlour - am I right, or are any other body types available that I have missed?
  16. IIRC it was 10:44 hrs at Coventry - I was always impressed as a teenager that you could get a through train from my home town to Inverness - only wish I'd been old enough and had enough money to do the trip.
  17. Flangeway sent me a text at the weekend saying that they are now taking orders, so my order has been placed. You can ring them on 01562 750076. Orders will be sent out next week.
  18. I may have missed it, but looking through this thread, the NRM and Bachmann's websites, I can't find a reference to what period the model is based on, it just says "Preservation"? Can anyone assist please?
  19. I wanted some Black and some Red Heljan Dogfish, but not any Olive Green ones as I already have enough of them. Gareth willingly split some packs to provide me with what I wanted, for the same cost as a normal pack, they arrived 2 days after I placed my order - well done, thank you, I will use Trains4U again.
  20. Does anyone know why they have been given '70' as a class number, when '7X' has been used for electric classes in the past? What was wrong with the vacant '5X' or '6X' class numbers? (especially as class 70 was used before for the Bulleid Co-Co electric locomotives).
