  1. Good... Had a fair few of the Warhammer - GW stuff in the past and learned the art of inks and drybrushing - a good slant on the usual - how about a TMD for them? Ian
  2. Tumblehome to bogie gap is huge on 37038 compared to 37251 - had a go at lowering them with a moderate amount of success filing the bogie tower seating bosses down. All in all good quality stuff. Ian
  3. All that clutter rust laden pipes and junk could do with clearing up and loading in a skip - health and safety will have a field day - disgraceful. Ian
  4. Yes Alex all good stuff - the OH Crane Metalwork is heading in the direction of Liverpool Lime Street proportions - patience indeed. Ian
  5. Yes a very good layout from Neil and was good to witness its creation although I couldn't get to see it "in op" - Beast Traction now on DL...! looks busy. Ian
  6. Neil A well known auction site will be your best bet - shame about their charges but I have never failed to sell one yet (dioramas - about 7 so far) - only one was I disappointed in the return price. Images look great - the last two 08's and Shed internal especially - it will sell no doubt. Ian
  7. Yes - easily done - usually the 98% bit ends up looking nothing like the original 2% concept bit. Ian
  8. Maybe a tour up north sometime? - too late for the Blackburn and Acc Show this year then? Yes - sounds like an ambitious an extremely interesting venture - hopefully you will both not have too many different opinions on what will be and have a definite set idea of what to work to - not like my method of 2% concept 98% "make up as I go along" - then the bin. Ian
  9. Yes - has been good watching the creation of DL and the learning curve that has evolved Neil. So come on - apart from Millwood what is going your next move? - although I know you are going to be busy somewhat. Ian
  10. Yes - excellent images - I sort of get the idea - surprised to see so much vegetation and weeds - weathering on CC layouts seems reasonably straightforward with a decent spray of white........! Ian
  11. Intriguing project - do you have any images of the real slurry and washing areas as up nooorth we aren't that familiar with CC ops like Kernow members. Ian
  12. The last two images of the 08 are excellent........
  13. Just caught up with this - excellent work with a good eye for detail - looks "right" although I tend to try and avoid using vehicles and people - usually click on 0 Gauge threads to find they are steam based - any plans for a Helly 37 or larger Traction? Ian
  14. Yes sorry we could not see DL up close maybe if you are showing at RM Web members day in July? I have that pencilled as well as DEMU at Burton - always a good un. Before finalisiing Whalley Cement  in the garage this Spring I had another small fuel point idea well sorted until I  came across this beauty.... http://www.flickr.co...l95/4840538566/ plans were all thrown in disarray - A soft spot for 25;s that transport me back to the 70's I suppose.
  15. Evening Neil How did the day go? - plenty of interest? Gutted we cannot be over this weekend (even had to miss Preston which was only 2 miles away) Currently languishing here tonight suffering another fuelling point idea Crisis....
  16. Kev Was good to see Dour at Kendal last Sunday - excellent modelling and authentic sounds - especially the inclined curve - You have captured it all really well as many a visit to the WHL and the "Fort" can testify. Ian
  17. First recollection is at Preston on the footbridge getting soot in my eye. Shows my age.....! Got dragged to the WCML by a mate in '73 watching doublehead 50's blasting up to Shap just before the onset of electrification. Hooked.
  18. Exactly - modelled from a perspective of someone who must have been "there" correct me if I am wrong? - happy days. Images send you right back to those days when Traction was half decent. Following with interest - although you must have exhausted your stock for images? An excellent read excellent modelling - dont know how I have missed it in the past. Ian Ian
  19. Nice on the blocks shot - cant beat a side on 37 front... Ready for summer too. Ian
  20. Panicking yet? A busy weekend on the 3rd 4th March - Mansfield and Preston MRE also a Diesel event on the ELR......
  21. Agreed Nick - Mason has a cracking layout and has improved so much since Pilot Road - Looking forward to seeing DL in the flesh this year at Mansfield - good to see you are still about - what has happened to Holland Park?
  22. Do like a LOADHAUL 60 - such a striking livery as ever - looks well Neil. Tried to upload images for WNXX but RM still all to cock in that department. Pencilled in Mansfield for March all being well - want another operator? Stafford - Kendal marked and maybe the Glasgow SECC as my lad wants a trip out on a Pendo. MPD images look excellent from the 17th. Ian
  23. Neil - For your Shunter "fetish" (York NRM) (Preston Ribble Railway) Took these this year (Poor quality Blackberry images) - Something really inspirational seeing these in various states of sad decay. Ian Excellent hi-vis BTW.
  24. An excellent diorama - got my votes - given me plenty of thought. Ian
