  1. Go on you know you want to really 😉. Edit: Not sure where your quotes gone
  2. Hi Jeff I fully agree with what you have written above. My annoyance with the system is those that “open a box” plonk it on the track and get umpteen likes as opposed to a decent modeller who, renumbers, adds detail and weathering and gets a couple of likes. Or takes a model out of the box, adds no detail apart from a kaydee coupling, claims it’s just been cleaned and thinks it looks realistic. I stopped adding images to my narrow gauge thread partly due to these reasons. RMWeb is a great resource of information, help, advice and tips from some very knowledgeable people. But my concept of realism is along way from others on here.
  3. I was just about to post the same reply as above. Could you take a clearer shot of the top of the motor please? That would help a lot
  4. if your making them in the autumn Jeff does that mean all the leaves will fall off when it arrives? 😂
  5. I think Jeff has used most of it on his last three layouts 😂.
  6. Really like the changes you have made Jeff. It's nice to see a quality model that has been thought out properly, time has been taken to research and execute each section, whether that is dry stone wall construction, ballasting, static grass application or building trees. Well done Jeff, keep up the high standards you have set your self. PS. Do I need to buy any more shares in DAS? 😉🤣🤣
  7. BREAKING NEWS Well the snow ploughs must have got through and replenished the biscuit supplies 😉. Jeff is making photo promises again……
  8. Anyone know if the next batch will have a green version? The original announcement was for one in Red/maroon and the other in green, I don't fancy getting the green paint out to repaint a red one, to nice to spoil.
  9. Looking at it again it is a panel mounted controller, not a hand held. I installed 5 of these on a large club layout, a number of years ago and I think they are still in use today. I am sure I have an instruction sheet somewhere, I’ll take a look tomorrow for it, if you still need it.
  10. If you don't swallow them quickly they give you a stiff neck 😉 (so I'm told)
  11. Sorry, only just seen this thread. I have a copy but it looks like your now set up. PM me if you need any info on the kit. It was my first DJH kit back in the early nineties. You will need to add a lot more detail below the running plate, unless they have updated the kit, as there was no below footplate pipe work on the fireman’s side. cannot remember what I used now, it may have been a Crownline detailing part. I can post a picture next week if you want to see my effort. Steve.

  14. Excellent work as always Jeff. 👍 I am looking forward to seeing how you are going to construct the arch ring. All this additional walling and bridge construction, I am sure you are becoming a Dasaholic 😂
  15. Dance with the Devil - Cozy Powell
  16. Well done Jeff. Suitable recognition of the effort you have put into the viaduct, stone walling and scenics. 👏👏👏
  17. As you know Steve, I’ve already got the side skirts and cow catchers. After seeing this I’ve brought the cab and now just need to add handrails and paint. Jobs a good’n (hopefully 😃)

  19. Strange. I always get a communication from them near the end of my subscription term. It may be because I buy my subscriptions using Tesco Vouchers and looking at my account there is no card or other payment method listed. Have you an account, usually with 'Great Magazines', you can go on and check that it is not set to 'Auto-renew' before contacting them again. Deleted
  20. I like your honest appraisal above. In life you never stop learning, or trying to improve on each new task you undertake. This is something we try to pass on to our apprentice’s as part of the learning process.
  21. Those two pictures really show off the new type of walling to great effect Jeff. No going back to the old style anymore
