Just looking at the Dinting shots from 1971, I don’t think I have seen that many Ford Anglia’s in one place at the same time. A lot of cars in the images that have long since rusted away. I wonder in another 52 years people will get all nostalgic looking at images from 2023, with Hybrids or all electric cars the same.

I saw the Harrogate Peckett a few weeks ago at Statfold and it still appears as per the colour photo above. The other Harrogate gasworks loco, Barber is still in that condition, but the South Tynedale Railway are looking to alter the cab shape for crew comfort. Thanks for your comments. The layout has been finished just under a year, I’ve just never got around to updating the thread. I have attached another shot of how the stile looks now. As for Cromford and High Peak, I have a DJ models J94 ready for additional detailing and renumbered to 68012. I also have a kit to build a Kitson 0-4-0 as 47006. So maybe in the future a CHPR might followI really must add all the other images of the build and bring this right up to date. Also show some of the locos and rolling stock either purchased RTR or kit built for the layout.

No idea on that one. The tunnel mouth is just visible at the Victoria station end, from the car park, behind the bus station. The Sherwood rise end (north end from Carrington is bricked up but still visible behind the houses built in the cutting. I am sure at one time it wasn't allowed to be sealed fully due to roosting bats. As for the manhole, not heard of that one before. The former GC route through Nottingham is slowly disappearing, bit by bit.

No, they were removed sometime between 2008 and 2011 when the site was being cleared prior to redevelopment. This is roughly the same spot now. where the cyclist is is roughly the spot where the sentinel is crossing the road. The other track is about where the Lows lane is written. You can still see sleeper marks in the grass on the left.

Well then Captain, did the LA Awsome work? Any chance of pictures? Do you recommend it before I purchase a bottle as I have a jubilee loco body and tender that requires similar treatment.
